Veronica’s POVThe birds chirped with joy at my windowsill, as the sun made its way through the curtains. My eyes opened slowly, with a moan I pulled the bedcovers over my head. Marcus’s POV“Alpha Logan.” I began, trying to keep my voice steady. His office was filled with shelves reaching to the ceiling. I couldn’t figure out what kind of book he enjoys. Logan’s POVSitting at the dining room table, I waited for Veronica to meet me. Not knowing if she would actually come, all I could do was wait. Veronica’s POVI need to clear my mind and get some clearance. The things that happened the night before lingered like a heavy fog in my mind. It messed around with my thoughts and emotions. Logan’s POVThe tension was thick as I reached the gate, there were about twenty wolves standing outside the walls. Who was this pack? This unexpected visit made me worry about Veronica’s safety.
