Logan’s POV

I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

They way she was standing there, her eyes shining with emotions she couldn’t hide. It felt that everything that had happened at the South Border faded in an instance. It was like she brought me back to reality, to what really mattered. She was the only thing that kept me going, to keep fighting, to survive. The bond between us, something I’d only felt, but when our skin touched it made her feel what I was feeling.

I couldn’t believe that she had finally got her wolf, something that I knew she was longing for. Not able to stop thinking about her, my mind was with her and not in the boardroom where it needed to be. My mind was miles away. The chatter of my pack were only whispers, the table my eyes were fixed on was a blur. All that I could see was Veronica standing in front of me, her happiness to see that I have returned.
