Logan’s POV

Sitting at the dining room table, I waited for Veronica to meet me. Not knowing if she would actually come, all I could do was wait. I needed her to come and have dinner with me, I had to tell her everything. Hopefully then she won’t be afraid of me. Maybe, just maybe she would see me as a friend and not her enemy.

The room was silent, the only sounds that echoed through the air was the tapping of my finger on the table and the sound of my own thoughts. Maya had already made us dinner. I was starving, but I was not willing to eat if Veronica wasn’t sitting across from me.
