Aurora's pov Building up a business wasn't easy. It was tough and stressful, but the people were cooperating, and I was beginning to get accepted in the city. The alpha's guard was also of great help to me.But I had a surprising visit by the alpha and beta one morning at my workplace."Good day, the mysterious girl, or should I say, Aurora," the alpha said, standing behind me.I turned with a surprise look, as he was standing with a big smile. "I can see you are making progress with your business. I am very proud of you, despite being a visitor at my city. You wasted no time trying to make your stand," the alpha said, nodding his head as he looked around my store."But you didn't see it fit to inform us of your plan, until we had to get the information," the beta said, rolling his eyes."Come on, I know she was too busy and she wanted to wait until she had it all settled out," the alpha said, his eyes never leaving mine. All I could do was nod my head."Fine, let's leave it that way

Aurora's pov The alpha's eyes seemed to bore into mine, as if he was searching for any sign of fear or weakness. "But don't worry, Aurora," he said, his voice softening. "I'll do everything in my power to protect you. You're under my protection now, and I won't let anyone harm you not even my beta."I felt a sign of gratitude in me at the alpha's words. No one had ever offered to protect me before, and I didn't know how to respond. The alpha seemed to sense my emotions, and he reached out to place a hand on my shoulder. "You're safe now, Aurora," the alpha said, his voice low and soothing. "I promise you that."I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. For the first time in a long time, I felt a little bit like I could finally relax, like I was finally safe, .But as I looked up at the alpha, I saw something in his eyes that made me feel uneasy. It was a look of intensity, and of demanding total attention of love, and it made me wonder if I had just traded one danger for another.I tried

Aurora's povThe figure stepped forward, revealing a hooded face. I couldn't see his features, but his eyes gleamed in the moonlight."Who are you?" I wrote on my notepad, holding it up for the figure to see.The figure hesitated, then pulled back its hood, revealing a shocking face, as my mind flashes back to remember. It was one of the alpha's guards, the alpha's personal guard."I'm here to warn you, Aurora," the guard said, his voice low and urgent. "The alpha is not what he seems. He has a hidden agenda, and you're right in the middle of it."I felt a chill run down my spine as I processed the guard's words. What could the alpha possibly want from me?"What do you mean?" I wrote on my notepad, my hand shaking slightly. The guard looked around nervously, as if he feared being overheard. "The alpha is searching for something," he said. "Something that could give him immense power. And he thinks you're the key to finding it."I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. What could I pos

Aurora povI stood there staring at him to get an answer, then he broke the silent."Rumors have it that there are some people forming alliances to bring me down," the alpha said, his words filled with confidence. "So, before they increase in population, deceiving people and also brainwashing my citizens to start a war against me, I had to fish them out and do what has to be done."I looked at him, trying to see some signs of deceit or lies, but there were none. All I could see was the truth, which made me even more confused. Was it possible that the alpha was telling the truth, and that Ryder had indeed been a traitor? Or was the alpha just a skilled manipulator, able to make me believe whatever he wanted? I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story than what the alpha was letting on.I stared at the alpha, searching for any sign of deception or manipulation. But as I looked into his eyes, I saw only sincerity and conviction. His words were laced with all sorts of d

Aoura's povThe guard's sudden change in looks and behavior caught me off guard. He wasn't interested in hearing more about my meeting with the alpha, and instead, suggested we head to work."You know what? Hmmm... let's just go to work," he said, his voice a bit too casual. "You haven't gone to work since morning."I nodded, feeling a bit confused by the guard's behavior. We walked in silence, the only sound being the soft rustling of our footsteps. The guard didn't say another word, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind.As we walked, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The guard's sudden disinterest in my meeting with the alpha, combined with his unusual silence, left me with a little bit of unease. I looks at him sideways, trying to read his expression, but his face remained neutral. We continued walking in silence, the tension between us increases. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on inside the guard's head. Was he hiding somethi
