Aurora's pov
The alpha turned back to me, a curious expression on his face.
I wrote on my notepad, "Wait, alpha. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course, Aurora. What is it?" He asked.
I wrote on my notepad, "Why are you being so kind to me? I'm just a stranger in your city."
The alpha's expression softened, and he looked at me with a gentle smile. "You're not just a stranger, Aurora," he said. "You're a member of our community now. And as the alpha, it's my duty to protect and care for all members of our community, including you."
I felt a warmth in my heart at his words. No one had ever shown me such kindness and acceptance before.
The alpha continued, "Besides, I think you have a lot to offer our community, Aurora. Your skills as a fashion designer are impressive, and I think you could bring a fresh perspective to our city."
I blushed at his praise, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The alpha smiled again and patted me on the shoulder. "I'm glad we had this talk, Aurora. Remember, you're not alone here. We're all here to support you."
With that, he turned and left, leaving me feeling grateful and hopeful for the future.
But my thought was far from the smile that began to form on my face. Like the alpha said, I wasn't the first visitor at his city, and there were many visitors here in the city. But why was he so interested in me? Should I be very careful about him?
I went back to my store, rounding up for the day and heading back home. I felt very tired and dizzy, but I needed to take a bath. I rushed to the bathroom so I could quickly take my bath and sleep.
While in the bathroom, I heard the door creak open. I waved it off, wondering if I had locked the door or not. The sound of the door creaking open was increasing, and my curiosity was high. At this point, I wasn't ready to spend even a minute in the bathroom.
I rushed out of the bathroom with just a towel on me, and I saw a surprising figure in front of me - the beta, looking at me with a seductive look, licking his lips. I was shocked at his presence, and my notepad wasn't close to me. All I could do was stand there.
"I know we started on the wrong foot," the beta said, still looking at me as if he would jump on me at any moment. "But to be honest with you, you are very beautiful, and you have perfect-looking skin."
I began stepping back, trembling all over my body.
"Why are you surprised, as if you haven't been with a man before?" the beta said, chuckling. "And what is on your mind? Shout? Oh, I forgot you can't do that."
I felt a chill run down my spine as the beta took a step closer to me. His eyes seemed to be burning with desire, and I could sense the hunger in his voice.
I tried to speak, but my voice was caught in my throat. I was frozen in fear, unable to move or speak.
The beta took another step closer, his eyes fixed on mine. "You're so beautiful, Aurora," he whispered, his breath hot against my skin. "I've never seen anyone like you."
I felt a wave of panic wash over me, and I tried to push the beta away. But he was too strong, and he easily overpowered me.
Just as the beta was about to pounce, I heard a loud growl from the doorway. The beta's head snapped up, and he snarled, baring his teeth.
I followed his gaze and saw the alpha standing in the doorway, his eyes blazing with anger. "Get away from her, beta," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
The beta's eyes flashed with disregard, but he seemed to think better of challenging the alpha. He took a step back, his eyes never leaving mine, and sneered. "This isn't over, Aurora," he spat, before turning and storming out of the room.
The alpha's eyes followed the beta's departure, his expression thunderous. Then, he turned to me, his face softening with concern. "Aurora, are you okay?" he asked, rushing to my side.
I nodded, still trying to process what had just happened. The alpha's eyes scanned my face, as if searching for any signs of distress. Seemingly satisfied that I was unharmed, he turned and locked the door, before returning to my side.
"We need to talk," he said, his voice low and serious. "About the beta, and about your safety here in the city."
I nodded, still feeling a bit shaken by the beta's sudden appearance and aggressive behavior. The alpha gestured for me to sit down, and I complied, trying to calm my racing heart.
The alpha sat down beside me, his eyes locked on mine. "Aurora, I need to tell you something," he said, his voice low and serious. "The beta...he's not a stable person. He has a history of violence and aggression, and I'm worried that he might pose a threat to you."
I listened to the alpha's words. I had suspected that the beta was trouble, but I had no idea that he was capable of violence.
"What do you mean?" I wrote on my notepad, trying to keep my hand steady.
The alpha's expression turned grim. "I mean that the beta has a history of attacking people who he perceives as threats. And I'm worried that he might see you as a threat, especially since you're...different."
I felt a surge of fear at the alpha's words. I had been trying to fit in and avoid drawing attention to myself, but it seemed that my efforts had been in vain.
But how will I do with my relationship with the beta now that i knows he poses a threat and how will this act affect the relationship with the alpha to his beta....
Aurora's pov The alpha's eyes seemed to bore into mine, as if he was searching for any sign of fear or weakness. "But don't worry, Aurora," he said, his voice softening. "I'll do everything in my power to protect you. You're under my protection now, and I won't let anyone harm you not even my beta."I felt a sign of gratitude in me at the alpha's words. No one had ever offered to protect me before, and I didn't know how to respond. The alpha seemed to sense my emotions, and he reached out to place a hand on my shoulder. "You're safe now, Aurora," the alpha said, his voice low and soothing. "I promise you that."I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. For the first time in a long time, I felt a little bit like I could finally relax, like I was finally safe, .But as I looked up at the alpha, I saw something in his eyes that made me feel uneasy. It was a look of intensity, and of demanding total attention of love, and it made me wonder if I had just traded one danger for another.I tried
Aurora's pov I threw off the covers and got out of bed, feeling a mix of relief and exhaustion. I stumbled to the bathroom to start my morning routine, hoping that a hot shower and some fresh clothes would help me shake off the lingering unease from the night before. As I dressed and made my way to the kitchen, I couldn't help but think about the alpha and the beta. What was going on between them, and why did they both seem so interested in me?I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on making some breakfast. As I ate, I noticed that the guard was already waiting for me outside my door."Good morning, ma'am," he said, nodding at me. "I'll be escorting you to work today."I nodded, feeling a sense of relief that I wouldn't have to navigate the city on my own. As we walked to the store, I couldn't help but notice the way the guard seemed to be scanning the crowds, his eyes watchful and alert."Is everything okay?" I asked him, writing on my notepad. The guard nodded. "Yes, ma'am. Just
Aurora's povThe figure stepped forward, revealing a hooded face. I couldn't see his features, but his eyes gleamed in the moonlight."Who are you?" I wrote on my notepad, holding it up for the figure to see.The figure hesitated, then pulled back its hood, revealing a shocking face, as my mind flashes back to remember. It was one of the alpha's guards, the alpha's personal guard."I'm here to warn you, Aurora," the guard said, his voice low and urgent. "The alpha is not what he seems. He has a hidden agenda, and you're right in the middle of it."I felt a chill run down my spine as I processed the guard's words. What could the alpha possibly want from me?"What do you mean?" I wrote on my notepad, my hand shaking slightly. The guard looked around nervously, as if he feared being overheard. "The alpha is searching for something," he said. "Something that could give him immense power. And he thinks you're the key to finding it."I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. What could I pos
Aurora's povAnd truly it was as down goes his head to the ground. It was truly painful to watch, as tears rolled down my eyes. My body felt weak, the guard was truly dead. "And now this is what we call justice," my personal guard whispered in my ears.It was as if I should just vomit as I watched Ryder's lifeless body slump to the ground. The sound of his head hitting the stone floor was still echoing in my mind, and I couldn't shake the feeling of horror and disgust. As I stood there, frozen in shock, my personal guard words were filled with irony, and I could sense the underlying criticism of the alpha's regime.I felt a surge of anger and frustration. How could this be considered justice? That guard was warning me about the alpha's true intentions, and now he was dead. It was clear that the alpha would stop at nothing to maintain his power and control. As I stood there, trying to process what I had just witnessed, I felt a gentle tug on my arm. My personal guard was guiding me awa
Aurora povI stood there staring at him to get an answer, then he broke the silent."Rumors have it that there are some people forming alliances to bring me down," the alpha said, his words filled with confidence. "So, before they increase in population, deceiving people and also brainwashing my citizens to start a war against me, I had to fish them out and do what has to be done."I looked at him, trying to see some signs of deceit or lies, but there were none. All I could see was the truth, which made me even more confused. Was it possible that the alpha was telling the truth, and that Ryder had indeed been a traitor? Or was the alpha just a skilled manipulator, able to make me believe whatever he wanted? I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story than what the alpha was letting on.I stared at the alpha, searching for any sign of deception or manipulation. But as I looked into his eyes, I saw only sincerity and conviction. His words were laced with all sorts of d
Aurora povBut actually it was the thought of the beta. Ever since that drama that happened that day in the room I haven't seen him.I quickly pulled out my notepad and wrote, "What about your beta?"I stared at the alpha's face, eager to get an answer. He smiled, but it seemed forced."Oh, I sent him on a mission, but you don't need to bother yourself. He would be back soon," the alpha said.I raised an eyebrow, confused and at the same time scared. "What type of mission?" I wrote, looking confused. The alpha chuckled. "Come on, it's nothing much. He just went to secure our Eastern border," he said, but his tone seemed unconvincing.I narrowed my eyes, sensing that the alpha was hiding something. Securing the Eastern border sounded like a vague excuse, and I couldn't wrap the feeling that there was more to the story.I wrote another question on my notepad, "How long will he be gone?"The alpha's smile faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. "Oh, not long. Just a few w
Aoura's povThe guard's sudden change in looks and behavior caught me off guard. He wasn't interested in hearing more about my meeting with the alpha, and instead, suggested we head to work."You know what? Hmmm... let's just go to work," he said, his voice a bit too casual. "You haven't gone to work since morning."I nodded, feeling a bit confused by the guard's behavior. We walked in silence, the only sound being the soft rustling of our footsteps. The guard didn't say another word, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind.As we walked, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The guard's sudden disinterest in my meeting with the alpha, combined with his unusual silence, left me with a little bit of unease. I looks at him sideways, trying to read his expression, but his face remained neutral. We continued walking in silence, the tension between us increases. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on inside the guard's head. Was he hiding somethi
Aurora's pov I felt the guard's arms tighten around me, holding me securely in place as he continued to move swiftly through the corridors. The alpha's voice grew fainter, and I sensed that we were putting distance between ourselves and the alpha's concerned would increase. As the guard's footsteps slowed, I felt relief. Maybe, just maybe, I was going to be okay. The guard's gentle voice whispered in my ear, "Hang in there, ma'am, we're almost there."I felt the guard's arms adjust around me, and then I was being lowered onto a soft surface. I opened my eyes to find myself in a small, dimly lit room. The guard was kneeling beside me, his face etched with concern."Ma'am, can you hear me?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.I nodded, still trying to catch my breath. The pain was still there, but it had subsided slightly. The guard nodded and stood up. "I'll get the medic," he said, and quickly exited the room.I was left alone, my mind racing with questions. What was happening to me
Asher povShe stood there, shocked at my words. She began to write on her notepad: "I thought you were having it under control? You were trying to make her jealous as we went for that dinner, now that you know she's after your throne, you're standing here in regret."I shook my head in disappointment, not knowing what to say to her, as I read what she wrote: "What I am angry about is that I allowed you to deceive me, to follow you to that dinner."I felt a pang of guilt as I read her words. I had deceived her, used her as a pawn in my game to make Sophia jealous. And now, I was facing the consequences."Aurora, I..." I started to speak, but she held up her hand, stopping me.You used me, she wrote, her words piercing my heart. You used me to get back at Sophia, without considering my feelings or well-being.I looked down, ashamed. I had been so blinded by my desire to hurt Sophia that I hadn't thought about the impact my actions would have on Aurora."I'm sorry," I said, my voice bare
Asher povI arrived at Johnson's home, a nondescript building in the heart of the city. I knocked on the door, and Johnson answered, a look of curiosity on his face."What's going on, Asher?" he asked, ushering me into his home.I filled him in on my conversation with Josh, and Johnson's eyes grew wider as I spoke."This sounds big," he said, his fingers flying across his keyboard. "Let me see what I can dig up."He worked his magic, hacking into Sophia's computer systems and uncovering a trail of secrets and lies. As we dug deeper, I realized that Sophia's plan was far more sinister than I had ever imagined."What have we got?" I asked Johnson, my eyes scanning the data on hid screen.Johnson's face was grim. "It looks like Sophia is planning to take over the pack," she said. "And she's willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants.""Yes, that was not a new thing, that was her plan all along. What else can you find?" I asked, followed by a deep breath."From the documents I
Asher povI felt a chill run down my spine as Sophia's words hung in the air. What did she mean by "or else"? What kind of leverage did she have over me?Suddenly, she taped me to bring me back to reality, and I turned to see Sophia's eyes staring at me a menacing look on her face."I think it's time for you to cooperate, Asher," Sophia said, her voice dripping with malice. "You're not going anywhere until we settle this."I realized with a jolt of fear that I was trapped, and Sophia had the upper hand. I had to think fast, to come up with a plan to escape and clear my name. But for now, I was at Sophia's mercy.I looked at Sophia with a strange look. "Sophia, you are getting insane, and I would not be a part of what you're doing," I yelled, standing up."Calm down, Asher," she said, her voice low and even. "This love... it just looks like I'm the one putting all the effort here," she added, bowing her head in anger.I took a step back, shocked by Sophia's words. "Love? You call this
Asher povMy mother nodded, seeming to accept my promise. "See that you are, Asher. I don't want to see you get hurt again."I nodded, feeling a pang of guilt for worrying my mother. "I'll be fine, Mother. I can take care of myself."My mother raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in her voice. "Can you, Asher? Can you really take care of yourself when it comes to Aurora?"I felt a surge of defensiveness, but I knew my mother was just trying to protect me. "Mother, I'll be fine. I promise."My mother nodded, seeming to accept my reassurance. "Alright, Asher. Just be careful, okay?"I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "I will, Mother. Thank you for worrying about me."My mother smiled, her expression softening. "That's what mothers are for, Asher. Now go, and be careful."I nodded, turning to leave. As I walked out of my mother's house, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was walking into a storm, one that would test my resolve and my heart.I walked back to my car, my
Asher pov The night ended as I stood in front of the restaurant, watching as her driver drove her off. With a little faded smile, I waved to her. It was like a dream which was Aurora, the one person I never thought this would happen with, just did.I walked to my car as my phone rang. It was my mother."Why would she be calling me at this time?" I thought."Hello, Mother," I said, answering the call."Asher, what is this I am seeing? All these pictures...?" my mother said, her voice heavy and angry."What pictures are you talking about?" I asked, curiosity filling my thoughts."A picture of you and Aurora in a restaurant, having dinner. I don't understand - is this an old picture or what? Aurora... for over how many years ago... about five years ago, I guess," she said, confusion filling her words."Mother, calm down, I can explain," I said, my voice trembling."Come to my place right away and explain!" she yelled.I sighed, rubbing my temples as I tried to ward off the impending hea
Aurora pov I felt a shiver run down my spine as Asher's words hung in the air. The entire pack in danger? What could Sophia possibly be hiding?I looked at Asher, searching for answers. His expression was grim, his jaw clenched in determination."What makes you think Sophia's hiding something?" I wrote, my hands trembling in fear.Asher hesitated, his eyes scanning the surrounding area before focusing on me. "I've been noticing strange behavior from her. Secret meetings, whispered conversations... and then there's the fact that she's been acting increasingly erratic."I frowned, my mind racing with possibilities. Sophia's behavior did sound suspicious."And what do you think I can do to help?" I wrote, my curiosity getting the better of me.Asher's eyes locked on mine, his gaze intense. "Like I said, I need you to pretend to be interested in me again. To make Sophia believe that we're rekindling our relationship. Can I count on you, Aurora?"I hesitated, unsure of what to write. Pret
Aurora pov It had been about a week since Asher and I met at that event. I could still remember his words. I was mute, but my heart poured out my words. I had to push those feelings aside and focus on my company, which I had already built to great heights. As I sat in my office, staring out the window at the bustling city below, my mind began to wander back to Asher. I couldn't believe the connection we had shared, despite my inability to speak. It was as if he had seen into my very soul.I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts. I had worked too hard to build my company from the ground up to let distractions get in the way. But as I turned back to my desk, my eyes landed on the small, intricately carved wooden box that Asher had given me.I opened the box, revealing the beautiful silver necklace inside. It was a stunning piece, with delicate filigree and a small crystal pendant. I ran my fingers over the necklace, feeling a shiver run down my spine, it was gift from one of my f
Asher pov Sophia entered, going straight to sit on the bed. I turned, looking at her angrily. "Why are you here? I thought I left the room for you?" I asked."Asher, why are you doing this to me? Even if you hate me, at least show respect for the baby inside me," she said, making eye contact with me."Sophia, you are evil and you know it," I said, my voice heavy. "I don't know your motive, but I am determined to stop you. You forced me that night to make love with you because I was drunk. Now that you are pregnant, you are using it to gain power for yourself.""Asher, I want us to stop all of this," Sophia said, her eyes narrowing. "The truth is, I want you to be my alpha and I want to be your luna. I don't want to share you with anyone.""Share me with anyone? What do you mean?" I asked, looking confused."Yes, you know what I am talking about," Sophia said, her voice dripping with malice. "Aurora? Does she ring a bell in your head? Or should I remind you of the slap she gave me? No
Asher povI felt a surge of anger and frustration at my mother's words. Didn't she care about the truth? Didn't she care about the harm that Sophia could be causing to the pack?I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I knew that my mother was only trying to protect the pack, but I also knew that she was being naive. Sophia was not what she seemed, and I was determined to expose her for what she truly was.I looked over at my personal guard, who was watching me with concern. "What did she say?" he asked, as I hung up the phone.I shook my head and said. "She wants me to drop the investigation into Sophia's activities. She says that Sophia is carrying my baby and that we can't afford to upset her."My guard eyes widened in shock. "But that's not true, is it?" he asked. "I mean, Sophia is not really carrying your baby, is she?"I nooded my head. "Yes, she's is. But my mother knows that. And she believes Sophia's lies, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to protect her.
