Hours seemed to go by before anyone came out to tell us what had happened. The doctor pulled me aside into Damian's room, as they wheeled his bed back into the room. This time Damian was completely unconscious and didn't appear to be waking up anytime soon. His skin has also lost a lot of colour."What happened?" While Jace had gone to search for Damian and Haley's belongings, a group of doctors entered the corridor just like before. However, this time pushing a gurney with Haley on it. I felt myself relax seeing her being pushed into one of the nearby rooms. She was alive. That's all I could ask for. I followed the doctors into the room, and waited for them to finish hooking everything up before I began to ask my triad of questions."How is she?" I carefully held my breath, making my movements slow and steady as I reached over to mute the machine. I managed to do the first one flawlessly. I then reached over and muted the second. Once the machines were muted, I removed the IV carefully from my arm. I used the blanket to cover the blood that came out and checked it soon after. My arm had thankfully stopped bleeding, only a small trickle had come out. I shifted my legs off the bed and tried standing up. It wasn't easy at first, but thankfully my legs began to work with me rather quickly. I looked around the room for anything that I could use. Unfortunately, the only thing I could find was a pair of scrub pants in the bathroom. They seemed to be clean and were probably there for me once I had a chance to shower. I wished there were shoes, however, I wasn't so lucky. I snuck up towards the door, and silently checked to see where all the guards were. ...Zane POV...We had been at this for over an hour now. Jace was giving me a crash course into being a spy. He was teaching me everything I needed to know so that way I would be safe once I was out there. Right now we were going over how to use a gun. I've never so much as looked at one before. Guns were not my thing. So to be holding one was a completely different experience altogether. I couldn't explain why, but I started to feel a bit antzy. When I woke up, my head had stopped pounding. I could still hear the faint beeping, but luckily it had quieted down. It was no longer so loud that I couldn't concentrate on anything else. It seemed like forever before Doctor Matthews finally left her room along with the nurses. Doctor Matthews walked me into her room, closing the door before speaking."Is everything ok?" I ask."Yes. Actually, that's why I brought you in. We believe Haley responded to your proximity to her.""What? How?"
