89. Mental Torment

When I woke up, my head had stopped pounding. I could still hear the faint beeping, but luckily it had quieted down. It was no longer so loud that I couldn't concentrate on anything else. I smile as I see Damian enter our room.

Making me realize that we were back in Damian's condo. A place that felt like home to me. Damian walks over to me and places a kiss on my lips as he sits on the bed next to me.

"How are you feeling?" He asks.

I contemplate his question as I try to think of an answer.

"The doctor said you may be in pain for a while. Do you remember what happened?" He asks.

I tilt my head in confusion.

"No. What happened?" I ask.

"You were in an accident. You were on your way back home when you were struck by another car." Damian explains.

I nod my head in understanding.

"What about Colton? Is he ok?" I ask.

"Colton? Who's Colton?"

"My driver. Remember the one you hired to be my personal driver?" I reply, not quite sure how Damian forgot him. Damian has always been nothing but
