I carefully held my breath, making my movements slow and steady as I reached over to mute the machine. I managed to do the first one flawlessly. I then reached over and muted the second. Once the machines were muted, I removed the IV carefully from my arm. I used the blanket to cover the blood that came out and checked it soon after. My arm had thankfully stopped bleeding, only a small trickle had come out. I shifted my legs off the bed and tried standing up. It wasn't easy at first, but thankfully my legs began to work with me rather quickly. I looked around the room for anything that I could use. Unfortunately, the only thing I could find was a pair of scrub pants in the bathroom. They seemed to be clean and were probably there for me once I had a chance to shower. ...Zane POV...We had been at this for over an hour now. Jace was giving me a crash course into being a spy. He was teaching me everything I needed to know so that way I would be safe once I was out there. Right now we were going over how to use a gun. I've never so much as looked at one before. ...Haley POV...I felt as though I was floating on a cloud. Nothing made sense. I didn't know where I was or why I was here."Hello?" I called out, hoping someone would hear me. When I woke up, my head had stopped pounding. I could still hear the faint beeping, but luckily it had quieted down. It was no longer so loud that I couldn't concentrate on anything else. I smile as I see Damian enter our room. Making me realize that we were back in Damian's condo. A place that felt like home to me. It seemed like forever before Doctor Matthews finally left her room along with the nurses. Doctor Matthews walked me into her room, closing the door before speaking."Is everything ok?" I ask."Yes. I continue running, not caring where I go. I just need to be away from here. Wherever here is. Why was this happening? What's going on? Why do I keep waking up in places, but with no idea of what's going on? It's like I know what should be happening, but nothing is the way it should be. I'm so confused by what's going on. Part of me wishes to see Damian, while another part of me wishes to never see him again.The beeping becomes louder until I find myself surrounded by darkness once more.
