Chapter 11

Alicia stood up and banged the table “I knew it! I told you this man can’t give me the contract yet I am the one who has been winning the contract before. This will not stay this way. That low life will pay for this humiliation” Alicia said already pissed off.

“Please, I need you to take me home before I mess up things”. Alicia gritted her teeth before walking out frustrated.

The media had been hyped by Alicia herself. She wanted them ready so that she could show herself to the world but now that things went the other way, she wanted to run way the moment that she saw the journalist approaching.

At once the cameras was on her face and there were microphones everywhere. She was sweating profusely. she could feel that she couldn’t breathe for a moment. This people couldn’t have chosen the best time to bother her.

“Miss Wilson, any comment on you losing this contract? You were excited to take it home. What happened?” one of the journalists asked.

“Yeah I was supposed to be the winner but because of these useless new CEO who decided to be bias in selection, I missed to secure the contract”. Alicia told them with lot of anger.

“Do you think its revenge since he is your ex-husband?” One journalist asked her.

“I don’t want to comment on that please” Alicia replied

“What will you do now that you have lost the contract” Another Journalist asked.

“I don’t have anything to say at the moment but Josh Brando won’t go Scot free. Alicia spoke looking pissed off

Alicia didn’t want to give more time to the journalists because she was already angry and didn’t want to stay around the club any longer. The trio then drove off home and the journalists went to Josh.

“Hey Mr. Johnson, what do you have to say about awarding the contract to a new company yet Wilson corporation have been working with the company for a long period?” One journalist asked Josh.

“The process was fair and the winner was selected on merit” Josh confidently answered them.

“Why is Miss Wilson accusing you of being bias, what do you say about that” Another journalist asked.

“I don’t mix business with personal life and I do everything with professionalism. I am confident with my selection.” Josh was confident.

The journalists wanted to shift to Mr. James but Josh could not allow them since it was late and his grandfather was already tired.

They went and entered the car ready to drive off. Just before Dan could turn on the car engine. They were approached by a very beautiful lady smartly dressed.

“Hello Mr. James, “the lady greeted

“Hello Kate how are you” James greeted back.

“I am fine, thank you,” she replied.

“Meet Josh my grandson, the new CEO of Johnsons corporations.  Josh meet Kate Williams. She is the CEO of Williams corporations. “Mr. James introduced them to each other.

“Hey Kate, I must say you look so beautiful, how comes I didn’t see you when I announced the winner” Josh awarded contract without knowing the CEO an indication that the process wasn’t bias

“Thank you, I really appreciate you for giving our company the opportunity and I promise I will work hard. I won’t disappoint you” Kate said with a smiling face.

“You don’t have to thank me, it was selected on merit and your company emerged the best of overall.” Josh commented.

“I have to go, it’s already late.” Kate said.

“Ok good night, my regards to your father” Mr. James told her and she left in a hurry.

“She looks humble, hardworking and she is pretty as well” Josh commented.

“Let it not be what I am thinking, you love her right?” Dan asked Josh jokingly.

“No …...I can’t love now, that is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I just want to concentrate on my work.” Josh answered him with seriousness.               

“But grandson, you will have to marry one day. You can’t stay single forever with all this wealth that you have now. I know her father and believe me she is the best woman that you will ever want to be with. Think about it.”  

“I will when I am ready, grandpa” Josh assured him.

“Ok but don’t take too long. I need grand kids.” His grandfather needed to remind him.

Alicia Nick and Ann was at Alicia’s home, they were trying to think of what they will do next. Alicia was still annoyed with what took place. She still couldn’t believe that Josh had the guts to snatch the contract from her.

“What do you people think we can do? Josh Brando is clearly out for revenge and we can’t sit back and watch him. We might even one day wake up and find Wilson Corporation bought by him” Ann asked.

“He can’t do such thing otherwise I will fight him to death before he takes the company.” Alicia said still pissed off.

“I got an idea, what about if we frame him with some scandals so that Mr. James will have no choice but to kick him out of the company.” Nick thought aloud.

“Yeah… that’s a good idea but how can we achieve this yet Josh we know have no scandal in the past.” Alicia asked

“We can always cook up something you know, let’s say he was involved in fraud when he was working at Wilsons corporations.” Nick suggested.

“How do you think Mr. James will believe you if you don’t have strong evidence.” Alicia was concerned.

“Yeah…. you are right, we can’t cook up strong evidence on him at the moment. We then have to think of something very fast. We have to be always a head of him.” Nick agreed with Alicia.

At this time every one was quite thinking of a way forward to deal with Josh when Ann broke her silence, “what about we find some of his dirty secrets and expose him on social media. This way Mr. James will send him out of the company immediately”

“Mmm……. That’s perfect, how comes I didn’t think of this” Nick agreed with Ann.
