A few weeks later…

Emily Stanford looked across the table at her adoptive father and ‘sister’. They played the role of the perfect happy family well. One could say she and her father had been a happy family until this imposter, Aurora, had come and changed their dynamics.

In the few weeks she had been here, she had already made herself a permanent fixture in their lives. Everyone now referred to her as the Alpha’s daughter while she was simply ‘Emily’ She clucked her tongue at the thought, that didn’t sit well with her one bit.
