Chapter Twenty Eight

Back to the present day…

Aurora’s Pov

“Dear, why are you standing there? Have a seat.” My dad called out to me.

“Yes…” I answered absentmindedly while I wished I could disappear from this room. I was finding it hard to breathe steadily, It was as if all the air had been sucked out from the room. Despite this, I walked to the table. I wished I didn’t have to, but I had to sit directly in front of Alpha Klaus.

My dad was seated at the head of the table as usual, but Alpha Klaus had hijacked my regular spot at the right-hand side of my dad. I didn’t trust myself not to stab him with a fork if I chose to sit next to him, so I sat in Emily’s seat instead. I sat the flowers down gently on the next seat.

Speaking of which, where was Emily?

“Aurora, meet Alpha Klaus of the Blood Moon Pack.” My dad said, breaking the silence. Around us, Flora was setting the table.

I nodded in response, fixing my eyes on my dad.

“This is Aurora, my daughter.” My dad said to him.
