Aurora’s POV

I moped around in my room for most of the morning. I told myself I wasn’t hiding from Klaus, I was only taking time to think about what to do. This whole thing was giving me a major headache. What kind of crazy coincidence was it that he had appeared in my home? Now of all times? I couldn’t figure out what his intentions were and who knew how he might react to news of my pregnancy? We had barely even had a full conversation, I didn’t even know the man at all. Would the right thing be to hide it from him? How was I supposed to raise a child with a stranger, assuming he wanted it too?

Or would I be better off alone? Unmated mothers were frowned upon in our world, it was nothing short of an abomination. My mom had married my stepfather just to avoid the stigma that would have followed.
