Aurora’s PovThe house is quiet when I arrive. I’m grateful for the lack of life in it and I hurriedly make my way into my room. I sit in silence reflecting on everything that has happened so far. How had I gotten to this point? Everything was a mess. I wished sleep would claim me but for a long time it didn’t and I laid awake and alone with my thoughts. When I was finally asleep it was only to be interrupted shortly after by knocks on my door. I looked around to see it was already morning. I ran my eyes as I went to answer the door. Rose was waiting to inform me that my dad was asking for me downstairs. My heart skipped several beats at the thought of seeing my father. I quickly washed up and went downstairs. Dad was sitting in his study but his usual warm expression was gone. He looked at me solemnly. I nearly backtracked out of the room but I reminded myself that I had to do this. He had every right to be angry anyway. I was surprised when my dad asked about my well-being first.

“You’re a disgrace!” Emily spat as she watched the pathetic brat cry in front of her. Anger nearly consumed her whole while she watched Aurora’s display.“You’ve been sleeping around right? And now you don’t know whose child is growing inside you.” Emily added but Aurora only continued crying. It was so irritating to watch. She hurriedly made her way out of the room while thinking about the new development. She fumed as she drove to the Pack House. Emily nearly went mad when she discovered when she found the guest room empty with no traces of Michael left. She threw a chair in blind rage as she screamed and cursed Aurora. Aurora’s PovAfter the scene in the dining room, I went up to my room to relax for a bit. But soon after, I started feeling restless. It would do me no good to lock myself inside all day, so I decided to go to the clinic. I decided to take the path through the forest as usual. As soon as I stepped into the forest, the scent of nature enveloped and calmed me. It was like I had stepped into another dimension where time seemed to stop. Out here, I was unbothered and it felt like I was just floating through the forest as I walked. All of a sudden, I heard the sound of a fast-approaching movement behind me. Aurora’s POVA few days had passed since my encounter with Klaus. I hardly stepped out of my room, opting for my food to be brought to my room instead. I refused to see my dad even though he had come knocking a few times. I needed the solitude to decide what to do next. By the third day, I decided that I had spent enough time being cooped up. It was time to face the real world. I dressed up and made my way to the pack house. I was intent on clearing things up with my dad. My dad looked up in surprise when he saw me at the door. “Dad… we need to talk,” I said pensively “Dear… come in. How are you? I’m sorry about the other day. Aurora’s POV A few days later, I was packing my things to leave for my new home. I sighed wistfully thinking about the last time I had to leave. Then I had a choice, but this time I was practically being forced into leaving. I cursed Klaus for what must have been the millionth time on that day. My dad had been powerless against Klaus’s command. In the end, I had chosen to leave to prevent a war from breaking out. I had no doubts that Klaus would make good on his threats to destroy my dad’s kingdom if I wasn’t handed over willingly or if I tried to run. I rubbed my stomach absentmindedly, once my baby was born, I would be vindicated and hopefully free from Klaus. I stepped out of my room carrying only one suitcase containing my essentials; packing everything I owned felt like I was leaving forever. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked into the tiny bedroom. Thankfully this room had a functioning door and I pressed myself against it after locking it. Was it just me or the temperature had increased by several degrees? ‘What exactly was I scared of?’ I thought, echoing Klaus’s words. Aurora’s POVThe Blood Moon pack was unlike any Pack I’d seen before. While it was very modern, it gave off a secluded vibe. There were no neighboring packs. The blood moon pack was literally cut off from the rest of the world. It looked to be the kind of place where everything that got in or out was well monitored. However, the streets were bustling with activity. I looked around eagerly as we drove through a vibrant market. Sounds of laughter, conversations, and music filled the air. I had initially felt like the Blood Moon Pack was an isolated cage but the ambience of the people here proved otherwise. “Would you like to buy something?” Klaus said. Why did he always have to say something?
