Chapter Sixteen

Aurora’s POV:

My dad reluctantly separated from her grasp and held my hand in his right hand and hers in his left hand.

“Let’s go in. We can talk inside.” And so I reluctantly allowed them to lead me inside the building.

I was so lost in thoughts that I failed to admire my surroundings. A million questions were popping into my head with zero answers, and heck! It frustrated me.

Did this mean my dad already had another family? Of course, he must have moved on after my mom. He was an Alpha after all. My heart sank at the realization that I might never fit in with my dad’s new family. I would always be the outsider.

When we got inside, my dad led us straight towards a flight of stairs but we didn’t go up, we walked past the stairs into a small corridor.
