Their ordeal went on and light finally faded, Clara found herself lying on the cold stone floor of the chamber. She was exhausted, her body aching from the battle. But as she looked around, she saw that the figure was gone, their dark presence erased from existence.The orb floated gently in the air, its light now a soft, calming glow. The mountain run lingered within the distance, spiked crests covered in dull clouds that twirled forebodingly. Clara, Ethan, and Selene rode hard toward the sanctuary where they had once sealed the Heart and the orb. Clara, Ethan, and Selene stood on the edge of the mountain, their breaths battered as they gazed down at the sanctuary. The once wonderful structure was presently a disintegrating demolish, rings of dim energy winding up from the gaps within the ground like harmful smoke. The antiquated weapon beat with a life of its own, transmitting a cold, crude energy that sent chills down her spine. Ethan's voice resonated through the chamber, but silence answered him. Ice surged through his veins as he vacillated through the debris and jetsam, looking frantically for any sign of Clara. The air was thick and clean, making it troublesome to see, but he pushed forward, his heart beating in his chest.“Clara!” he called once more, his voice rough. He checked the rubble, trusting and asking that she was just covered up underneath the flotsam and jetsam.
