Chapter Thirty-One

Their ordeal went on and light finally faded, Clara found herself lying on the cold stone floor of the chamber. She was exhausted, her body aching from the battle. But as she looked around, she saw that the figure was gone, their dark presence erased from existence.

The orb floated gently in the air, its light now a soft, calming glow. The Heart pulsed faintly in Clara’s hand, its energy spent but still alive.

Clara struggled to her feet, her gaze fixed on the orb. “We did it,” she whispered, barely brave enough to believe what just happened.

Ethan moaned as he stood on his feet, rubbing his head. “Did we win?”

Luna smiled weakly as she helped Isolde to her feet. “I think so. The figure’s gone, and the orb… it’s different now.”

Selene approached the orb, her expression one of wonder. “The Heart and the orb are one now. They’re in balance.”
