Chapter Four: Reality

“Stay away from me” Hazel said with a stern face to Anya. She was about to go look for Zeus when Anya stopped her and started to question her. 

Anya laughed hysterically before responding “I just need you to answer my question” 

Hazel hissed and was about to walk away when Anya held her hand tightly to prevent her from leaving. Causing her to raise her voice. 

Zeus walked toward them with a cold face and Mark followed behind.

“What is the matter? Zeus asked no one in particular as he stared at the two ladies in front of the door. Anya immediately turned her face into a pitiful one and spoke up first “Zeus, I was about going to rest in your room when your wife stopped me to ask who am I to you” 

“So what did you tell her? Zeus asked her almost immediately. 

Anya sniffed her nose and hung her head low “I said we are dating” 

Zeus looked at Hazel sharply with a cold face “Since you are so curious, let me answer your question. Anya is who I FUCK! Do you get or do you want more explanation? 

Mark opened his mouth slightly in shock and held Zeus' hand to calm him a bit  “Hazel what happened? 

Hazel, who already guessed who Anya was to Zeus, still stood there looking shocked after she heard it directly from her husband. She directed her head to Mark after he asked her what happened. Hazel struggled to open her mouth to talk “I***was looking for Zeus when she stopped me to ask how I pressured Zeus to marry me” 

Anya's face turned horror “You are lying!! I never asked you that” 

Zeus glanced at them coldly to stop them from talking further “Anya you can go back home now”. Not wanting to piss Zeus off the more, she stepped out of the hallway and Mark followed her behind leaving the couple. 

“Zeus, do you believe her? Hazel asked her husband with an anxious face, scared of his answer. 

Zeus responded “Hazel I told you to leave Anya alone” Hazel’s eyes widened with shock, “She stopped me first Zeus!!! I do not care about her but please I'm tired of this marriage talk!! It has happened already so what next huh?? 

Zeus stared at his wife and was surprised at her little outburst “Hazel you are just jealous of Anya” 

“What?? Hazel said with shock. She never expected her husband to favor his mistress over her. “Zeus I understand you don't want this marriage but can you treat me like you did before when we were just friends? 

Zeus smirked hard “The friendship is ruined, you were so jealous of my life and the people around me and that’s why you want to use this marriage to your own advantage!! 

Hazel smiled bitterly “Zeus calm down, I'm not interested in fighting with you. Just tell Anya to stay away from me. With that, Hazel entered her room.

What game are you playing, Anya? Mark asked coldly as he dragged her to the garden. 

Anya rubbed her hand and responded “What are you talking about? 

Mark responded “Zeus is too blind to see your true self, but I can see through your lies. Stay away from his wife Anya. 

Anya laughed before replying “Look at you fighting for her, why don't you marry her instead? 

“I do not care about what you think but the marriage has happened and you need to accept the reality woman! Mark responded. 

Anya's face turned serious “Over my dead body. Zeus is mine alone! 

She turned her back to Mark and walked away. Mark entered the house and saw Zeus on his laptop. 

“Bro I suggest you stop Anya from coming here” Mark gave his own piece of advice to his friend but he got no response from him.

Hazel took her phone in the room as she sat on the bed trying to stop herself from shedding tears. She hesitated to dial the contact she was staring at but after some minutes, she summoned the courage and called the number. 

“Hazel,” her mother called out gently. Hazel sniffed her nose before responding “Mum, I do not understand Zeus” she cried out. 

Madam Cole sighed loudly before she replied “Hazel, I'm sure you know how Zeus was before he got married to you. 

“But he is married now! As I speak with you, his mistress is in this house Mum” Hazel said out loudly 

Madam Cole responded “Hazel you need to be calm, train him to be who you want him to be” 

“I don't think I can change Zeus Mum,” Hazel replied. 

Madam Cole’s voice turned cold suddenly “So what? Do you want to come back home? Remember what we spoke about Hazel? Don't ruin things for us okay? 

Hazel cried silently at her Mum’s words “I love Zeus Mum so I won't give up on him” 

“Good that way, don't tell your father about this” She hung up the call. 

Hazel cried her eyes out as she said to herself “How did my life turn suddenly? We were doing just fine as friends! I shouldn't have let my feelings for him make me agree to this marriage shit!!! 

“You can't give up Hazel,” she said to herself.

After crying for minutes, Hazel stood up and freshened up, she made her way downstairs as she was starving. Her eyes gazed at the two friends working on their laptops without being distracted. 

She entered the huge kitchen and was welcomed again by the butlers. 

“You can call me Hazel, what do you have? I'm starving” Hazel said while pouting childishly. 

The butlers were amazed at her attitude, it was their first time seeing someone rich acting so nice toward them. 

“Madam Hazel, What do you wish to have? We can make a variety of foods for you” One of the middle-aged butlers replied to her with a professional smile. 

As Hazel was about to speak up, a loud gunshot was heard. Her heart dropped as she got scared immediately. The butlers also got scared at the sound of the gunshot. 

Hazel tried to go outside the kitchen and peep through the door, but she made eye contact with a mysterious tall man holding a gun to her husband’s head. She gasped out loudly.
