Chapter 5 A Day In A Life With Nicko

"Hi Nicko, welcome to my condo." I said then present him my condo, I'm going to shoot a vlog for my YouTube channel and the title of it is 'A Day In A Life With Nicko.'

"Thank you." He said sweetly and then he turn on the chandelier.

"It's so nice Katie, who design this condo?" He asked then sat at the sofa, feeling at home huh?

"Uhm... I don't know... Mommy bought this for me." I answered and he saw the picture of my parents beside the TV.

"Is this your Mom and Dad?" He asked while holding it.

"Yeah, the another one is me and my elder brother." I answered.

"For how many years do you live in this unit?" He asked and he came near me.

"3 months haha." I answered while laughing, for almost 20 years this condo is vacant.

"Too short." He said.

"Yeah, I grew up in Canada so I don't know a lot of culture here in the Philippines." I said then get my leather bag inside my room.

"Arf! Arf!" Little Kiko barked when he saw me.

"What's that sound?" Nicko asked.

"Here! My little poodle." I said then show him my puppy.

"He's so cute, maybe I can take him home?" He asked and gave me a puppy eyes.

"When he's only with me." I immediately answered and the he laugh.

Why are all of my friends want to take home my little Kiko?

"I was just kidding, so what are we going to do here? Why did you invited me?" He asked and then make a cute face in front of me.

"I grew up in Canada and I don't know some Filipino street foods, maybe we can go out and eat some." I said and then he give his hands on me.

"Okay, are you okay if I'll make you eat Betamax?" He asked me, I don't know that food.

"What's betamax first?" I asked him.

"Betamax is.... Oh my goodness! How can I explain this... But yeah... Betamax is a cube blood of a chicken.. The one who is color brown but when cooked it turns into black." He explained.

"I think that's yummy." I said because sometimes I watch the Filipino Vloggers/YouTubers while eating street foods, it's yummy, they said.

"Yeah, it's yummy and also Chicken Neck and Head." He said while his tounge is licking his lips.

"Is your little Kiko will not miss you?" He asked while driving.

"Of course he will miss me, this is only snacks Nicko, we're going home after." I smiled before we found a food stalls.

"Oh my gosh, is this worm?" I asked because I saw a zigzag who have stick in the middle.

"No Katie haha...." He laughed, "I'm going to buy 4 of this." He said then choose and pick sticks, are they sure that it's clean?

"Is that clean?" I whispered in his ears.

"Yeah, they clean it before boiling them, and then prepare them in this cute sticks." He explained and I heavily sighed. All I thought is it isn't clean.

"Ma'am, Sir." The girl handed it to us.

"Happy eating Katie." He said then bite his, I smiled and then fix my camera so that I can eat my street food.

"It's so yummy." I said then show a like sign over my camera.

"You like it?" He asked.

"Yes, super." I answered and then I found him picking some sticks again. "Why do you call that?" I asked.

"It's quial eggs coated with orange colored flour." He answered while holding it.

"I think we only bought and bring it on condo so Nanang could it too." I said and then he give me the sticks with 4 orange balls.

"It's okay, I'm gonna buy something for her instead." He said.

"Thank you." I said then he let me pick what I want on the table, I choose the color brown that was fingers like and dip it on the thick sauce.

"Yummy?" He asked.

"Yuh. Super!" I exclaimed and then he asked the vendor of the amount of all of we ate.

"One hundred seventy pesos sir." The vendor happily said.

"Here, that's two hundred, keep the change." The vendor gave us a sweet smile after we leave there place.

"It's yummy yet it was not that pricy." I said while he was driving back at my condo.

"Yeah, I think we need to eat there a many times." He said while I was playing with my phone.

"Yeah, but not that much, we might get sick." I was happy when we finally reach the parking lot of my condo.

"Yes, it's only 3 in the afternoon, we should do 1 activity before the day ends." He said as we walk towards my unit.

"Thank you for doing me a favor." I said.

"No! It's not a favor, you need to give me the half earnings of the video haha." He said then laugh.

"I was just kidding Katie." He said.

"Yeah, I know." I get some milk at my fridge and give him.

"You're too wonderful to be hurt." Out of nowhere he said that and I was wondering why did he do that?

"Yeah, you too, you are so wonderful to be hurt." I bought it back to him.

"Thank you." He said.

"I like the was you interact with the vendors and the street kids, you don't bother if it's too hot for you and get your skin black." He said.

"It's okay to be black skin with good heart than white skin with dirty heart." I said.

"Correct!" He said.

"Even though I know you for only 3 months I could really feel that you have a good heart." He said while straightly looking at me.

"Please don't stare at me that way, I'm not comfortable." I said so his eyes walked away.

"Thank you." I said the surroundings went awkward not until my Little Kiko came.

"Arf! Arf!" He barked while licking my cheeks.

"Awww Kiko, come here with Daddy." Nicko said and then I rolled my eyes.

"I like it when you're rolling your eyes on me." He said while laughing.

What's this Nicko? Is there something? I hope no, I'm not yet ready.

"Arrghhh!" I angrily groaned and then ran at my room.

When my chest relaxed, I go out and he was still playing with Kiko, I thought he got home.

"I was about to go home but you're not here so I waited for you, can I go now?" He gladly asked.

"Yeah, thank you for this day." He got his bag and get out.

I'm afraid...

What if he have feelings for me?

What if he asked me for us to have a relationship?

What if we don't work?

Are we throwing all of our memories as friends?
