Chapter 26 Happiness Left Me

"Artists, please proceed on the back stage." The staffs said so me and my other team mates proceeded on the on back stage, I know we're shooting a VTR.

"Katie." I heard Quen's PA calling me.

"Why?" I came towards him.

"Kuya Quen was waiting for you on his dressing room, the show will not start if he's not around. So please go on his dressing room now Ate Katie." He said, I believe him so I ran into Quen's dressing room.

"What do you need? Why are you looking for me?" I asked him coldly.

"Why are you with Nickanor the night before last night?" He asked.

"Are that going to fix our problem if I told you the reason why I am with him?" I asked him back, that sound sarcastic.

"Hey Katie! Please do some effort here, please." He said and then I slapped him.

"I was doing an effort Enrique, but you're not seeing it, because you are always with your Alex. You are always with her." I said.

"I am with her because, it was work Katie. It was my job to be with her." He said.

"Quen, your job was to perform on stage, to sing. Not to be her body guard." I said.

"But we are a love team Katie, I hope you understand it." He said.

"Are you out of your mind? There are no love team in the music or singing industry in the Philippines." I said.

"If we didn't exist, there will be nothing. Bit Katie, we exist. Alexandria and I existed." He said again.

"This conversation will be non sense, let's get back on our tasks. Come back to your work, I'll come back too on being a contestant." I said and leave him. I am proud because there are no tears fell out of my eyes.

"We'll only be rolling some VTR, this would be very fast sweet hearts." The staff said.

"You're just going to say your name, age, where did you came from and which team are you." The staff said.

There are three camera mans, I was taken by the second camera.

"My name is Katie Romero, 21. I came from Calgary, Canada. And I am from Team Sha." I said and smiled.

I was about to get out of the place but I heard Quen's voice and eventually, he pulled me and kissed me. Passionately. His lips were locked into mine and he was moving it slowly.

When our lips parted, he carried me to his dressing room, he don't have work anymore? He don't have someone to interview?

His hands are slowly carresing my back while his lips was busy on mine and it was slowly moving towards my neck, he's biting it.

"Quen..." I whispered.

"Enrique, I’m not the type of woman who you can calm through a kiss." I said and stand up.

"Quen, I am so tired with this set up." I sighed heavily.

"That's why I am here, I am ready to fix everything Katie." He said and I just looked away.

"Quen, we're not going to work anymore. Let's stop this, I don't want to hurt you that's why I am doing this." I said.

I will get all of the pain just to save him, his team up with Alex is getting better and better every month, I don't want to be a hurdle to him.

"What? Are you out of your mind? Damn Katie! You are breaking up with me and you are saying that you don't wanna hurt me? Are you an idiot? Katie! I don't want to lose you, I love you, let's fix this." He said and hugged me tight.

"This is the best decision for us Quen, I'm spreading my wings already, let's continue our dreams separately, fly high my baby." I said and step out of the door.

I was sitting here in the bench and a thunderstorm occur, I don't have something here, my sling bag was on our dressing room with my fellow contestants.

I felt the rain, it feels like home. Rain is my home.

"Ms. Kawaii, would you mind if I let you borrow my umbrella?" A baritone voice came out and I saw a man standing in front of me.

"Nicko..." I said when I recognized him.

"Kate? Why are you here? Come with me." He said and gave his umbrella and hands on me.

"Oh, you have fever." He said when he touches my neck.

"Just take me on my condo and leave, I can take care of myself." I said and he nodded.

"Are you sure that you are fine?" He asked me when we finally got into my condo.

"Yeah, thank you." I said and he get out, I find my old phone and turn it on, I need someone.

"Gab?" I sent a message.

"Yanna?" I sent a message.

Gab didn't replied, maybe she's busy with the battles performances. Yanna immediately replied.

"Yes, my Love? What can I do for you?" She asked.

"Come into my condo, I'm sick, please. The combination is 101082. Thank you." I sent her the message and for 10 minutes, she arrived.

"Hi Kate, what happened?" She immediately ran into me and checked on me.

"I have wonton soup here, did you already ate dinner? I'll prepare." She said.

"Thank you, my supplies are still complete." I said.

"Okay, in the mean time eat this okay, I also bought some medicines for you, take that after you eat and I'm going to stay here while you were not okay." She said and immediately prepared a food.

"What do you wanna eat?" She asked.

"Decide for me." I responded.

"Okay, while the food was not yet done, let me talk to you first, how's your day? The battle rounds?" She asked.

"It's super fine." I said.

"You're family? Mom and Dad in Canada? And your Brother with his fiancee?" She asked again.

"I know that they were always okay, I didn't check on them for a while." I said.

"Kate? Is there a problem? Why are you so cold?" She asked and holds my hand.

"We officially broke up." I said and smiled bitterly.

"Broke up? Then why are you smiling?" She asked.

"It's because Enrique, my Love, will continue reaching his dreams with Alex, I will be forever happy for him." I said and tears just fell out of my eyes.

"Heeey, heeeey. Katie." She said and calm me up, it was an asthma attack.

"Don't worry, I know what to do, my nebulizer is beside my book shelf, a little bit closer to the sofa." I said.

"I'll bring you to the nearest hospital." She said.

"No need, I'm fully equipped here in the condo. I just need someone to care for me here, just overnight." I said.

"Such a brave lady." She said.
