Alan

After the full moon, I found Freya seated on the floor of the garden, hugging her knees and staring at the sky. From her demeanor, I could tell she needed to be alone, but as I made to continue the journey to my room, something kept drawing me back towards her.

“Hey.” Melissa called when I stopped moving again to look at Freya through the door connecting the lobby to the garden, and I turned to look at her. “Is there a problem?”

“Freya seems like she is down, but I don’t know if going over there is what she would want.” I replied.

Melissa allowed her gaze to travel to where Freya sat, and I watched her shrug her shoulders in response. “I am very sure I am the reason she is seated there so I have no advise to give. She didn’t run with Chloe and I during the shifting ceremony tonight, so I think she wouldn’t want to even lay eyes on me.”

“So, do you think I should go to her or not?”

“She is your sister, Alan. You should know what she wants better than I do.” She answered. I nodded
