Alan

He had the nerve.

He had the nerve coming all the way from the crooked place he called home to stand in front of someone as mighty as the alpha and spew nonsense.

He was the former alpha’s son? I asked myself while my hand was still on the collar of his shirt. How and in what world did that happen? My father had told us the former alpha and his family had been killed and that no one was coming to stake any claim to our rule. How then could Zachary call himself the son of the former alpha when everyone from that family was supposed to be no more?

“Are you going to let me down now, Alan, or do you want to continue making a fool out of yourself in front of the alpha?” He asked in an usually calm voice that had me raising an eyebrow at him. I allowed him drop to his seat, stretching my fist to hit him but the alpha called my name at that instant, and I was forced to turn to look at him.

“Let go of him, Alan.” Alpha Alexander spoke calmly, his eyes scanning both of us simultaneously.
