Nyx’s POV

What Amelia says surprises me.

I look her in the eye to confirm if she means it.

I can tell from her eyes that she’s worried about the girls who once spoke ill of her.

My little human being mate is so sweet and kind-hearted. It softens my heart.

“Nyx!” she pulls my hand to urge me.

I give her a reassuring smile and turn to face the crowd.

“Dear pack members, my mate just expressed concern for those who offended her. She asked me to stop the punishment. As your alpha, I never go back on my words. However, today, I’ll make an exception. Out of respect for her wishes and her generous heart, I hereby declare that the punishment is lifted. I hope all of you will recognize and appreciate the depth of her kindness.”
