Chapter 26

Nyx’s POV

I give my arm a hard pinch so that the pain can sober me up. Before she touches me again, I summon all my force to kick her on her stomach. She lies on the ground and looks at me bitterly.

I stumble to the window, open it, and tear the window gauze. I climb on the windowsill. I’ve promised Amelia that I won’t be alone with Eva. I need to get out of here!

Damn, it’s the eighth floor. If I’m not posioned, this would be easy for me. But now my head is spinning and my eyelids are heavy, I’m not sure.

“Nyx, don’t!” Eva’s voice is getting louder from behind. She’s coming over!

No time to hesitate, I swing my legs and take a leap out of the window. I’d rather get injured than stay in the same room with her.

Luckily, I steady myself on a narrow ledge outside, gripping the outer wall of the hotel with finger.

“Nyx!” Eva looks outside from the window.
