Elena’s POV

Alex raised an eyebrow. "You want to make it right? Then stop questioning me, stop doubting my love. Just trust me, Elena."

I felt a bit relieved that Alex didn’t say anything offensive or drastic. I nodded eagerly, willing to do anything to keep him. "I trust you, Alex. I'll never doubt you again."

Alex smiled, a small, condescending smile. "Good girl," he said. "Now, let's forget this ever happened and move on."

I nodded, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. I had fixed things with Alex. I had kept him.
