Meeting King Peter

Malina POV. 

"You! Stop there or I will shoot you", the guard said as I ran towards the backyard, focusing my ear trying to figure out where the rogues are. 

"Boss, I her them shouting. Are we still safex, the guy in black said. 

"Don't worry about it, they won't come here, probably someone else, its an everyday thing", the other guy said with the confidence. 

Haha, damn he's right, this might be an everyday thing but today is the day you get caught for you dirty act. 

Sighing at their voices, I looked behind me before dodging a dagger shot at me. 

Come on, is this  how they really stop offenders, I thought to myself before shaking my hrad at their tactics. 

'You know, you could just go in and tell them about the rogues', ashley said and I scoffed. 

"Didn't you hear the rogues, they said they have been doing this for a long time and I'm guessing they are a pro at it and they will definitely have an escape route, what if they have someone on the inside that gives them information", I said and she hummed in reply. 

"You she-wolf over there, if you don't stop right now, then don't blame me for ripping you to shreds", i heard an arrogant and powerful voice say making me pause for a sec. 

A mountain wolf?, why the hell I'm I meeting with this kind these days. Damn my luck, I cursed before running as fast as I could in a zigzag manner to not let them catch me, finally stopping as I saw a hint of location in my vision. 

The blue rose garden, they must be here somewhere. 

"You", the so-called mountain wolf called again, and I raised my hands in the air, signifying to him to stop talking. 

"Sir, rogues", i heard a voice from one of the guards that surrounded me, and before i could move a muscle, a couple of wolves ran past me in hopes of catching the rogues. 

"Call Gerald", I said as soon as I turned around, raising my brows when i was met with a rather angry mountain wolf who was looking at me as if wanting to kill me. 

"Hello sir, there is a lunatic she-wolf who came into the council chamber ground. We thought she was an offender but somehow she helped us catch a group of rogues who had been using our backyard to hide their ammunition and she demands your presence", I heard the security guard say as I take out my phone lazily. 

"You she-wolf, you are not a rogue, don't you know how to bow before a superior lycan". He said and I scoffed but still surprised. 

"What do you mean superior lycan?, the lycans were wiped out during the reign of the witches, there are no more lycans". I said to him, trying to bring him down from his high horse, while still on my phone. 

"Well, the ones that survived are the ones you weak werewolves refer to as mountain wolf due to the way we survived and rise again", he said proudly and i scoffed but still surprised by his little story but didn't react a bit. 

"Did you just scoff at me", The so called Lycan said and I looked up to give a piece of my mind before I was interrupted. 

"Maline McCall", I heard an angry voice from behind the lycan and no matter how angry the voice is, I couldn't miss the hint of affection in it. 

"Uncle Francis", i said and he nodded to the lycan and headed towards me and dropping on his knees making me widen my eyes. 

"Uncle Francis, what the hell", i raised my voice at him before trying to pull him up. 

"Why?, its been years since this goddess came to our humble home. Shouldn't we be worshipping you?", he said sarcastically and I laughed awkwardly. 

"Don't say anything to her dad, if she had considered us family she would have come here to us first before traveling for so long", I heard Gerald voice and before I could say anything, he picked me and hugged the life out of me. 

"Ca-Can't breathe!", I patted his shoulder as he rolled his eyes before dropping me. 

"Anyways lets go inside, I didn't know I would have to help you guys on my first day of visit after a long time, I mean even with the 'superior lycans', so disappointing", I said while throwing a look at the lycan who stood there, clenching his fist and said nothing. 

"Where have you been for so long, you could have at least visited us when you left the pack?, and why didn't you just come into the chamber and inform us about the rogues instead of risking you life like that?, the guards or the lycans could have injured you in the process" Gerald asked as he sat on the chair while looking at me with a smile on his face. 

"Even I am interested on how you--", the lycan whose name i still didnt know started but before he could finish, a thunderous roar echoed In the air making us lose composure and balance. 

"King Peter, is there anything displeasing you", uncle francis asked as I and Gerald sat there stiffened. 

"Don't worry, I can stand, I'm not afraid of this big bad wolves anymore", I said and he smiled at me. 

Turning me head and looking at the so called king for the first time, my eyes widened as I looked at his features. 

For the beast and ruthless man that rumor has him to be, isn't the moon goddess unfair creating him to be this handsome?. 

I never though I would find some as handsome as Kane but I just surprised my self, or maybe its because I finally let go of all that pent up anger and feeling of betrayal?, I thought to myself before looking at the guy in front whose eyes was fixiated at me. 

"King Peter", I nodded at him and he scrunched his brows a bit before evening his expression. 

I am sure he is trying to think if he has met me before, damn royal. 

"You were saying some things before", i asked the lycan, and he looked at the king before reply me. 

"Its nothing", he said and i rolled my eyes before looking at Gerald. 

"Let's discuss about things in the morning, I've traveled a long distance today. Let's go to your room". I said to Gerald and was about to hold his hands casually when I heard a growl behind me. 

Uhh?, what is this guy's problem?, is he pissed that I'm leaving before him?. 

"Umm.... King Peter, if you want to leave first, you can go", I said to him and he looked at me observantly and shaked his head. 

"Its not that, I'm just angry at my subordinate for not completing his question earlier. I think you should tell us  how you found those rouges when even the members of the council haven't, even after searching for so long". He said and I smiled. 

"Sorry not sorry, but don't you think this shows the incompetency of the lycans and the teams that has been searching for the rogues and the ammunition", I asked and the lycan who spoke to me earlier growled and I took a step towards him but Gerald pulled me back. 

"Its enraging right. Thats what the truth feels like. What did you do to find the rogues you guys catch earlier before this day, did you tail a rogue?, I am sure you must have searched all the head bases just because you found ammunition in other head bases but do you think the rogue head boss is a fool, he has been running an organization for years now, he understand this game more than any of you". I said in an angry tone. 

"That's enough Mal., we've got your point" Gerald said as he scratched the back of his head and I smiled. 

I am glad the story I made up to cover up my unimaginable powers worked. I just hope they don't ask any disturbing question again. 

"Can I ask how you know so much about rogues?, Are you one of them", King Peter asked me and I chuckled. 

"That's something I only tell people who are close to me, I am not obliged to answer" I said before bowing to him, taking Gerald hands and bowing to uncle Francis. 

"Miss Malina, I think we started off on the wrong foot and my subordinate left a poor impression on you, how about a cup of tea?" I heard king peter asked and I paused as my stomach grumbled a bit. 

"Are there going to be snacks", I asked Gerald nonchalantly, and he chuckled before  pulling my cheeks. 

"Everything you like", he smiled, and I grinned before nodding to the king, who had a sparkle in eyes who had a sparkle in his eyes for a sec before it vanished. 

Was it really there or did I imagine it, well who cares?, I thought before holding hands with my uncle and Gerald. 

"You have no idea how much I have missed you Mal.," He said and I smiled softly. 

"I'm sorry for everything I've done--"

"Shh---let bygones be bygones okay", he said before ruffling my hair, I was about to smile but scowled when I noticed the the king was looking at us. 

Well isnt he too nosy for a king? 

'Well I like him, he's handsome' Ashley said and I rolled my eyes. 

"Well you will fall in love with every handsome man you meet because we don't have a true love, won't you?. Its just he's the first guy I approve of being handsome" I said and she sighed dreamly before humming.
