A Little Eavesdropping

Malina POV 

"How is she doing"

"I don't know. She hasn't woken up yet. Do yoi think we should bring in a new doctor?. From what you told me the doctor said, it seems he doesn't know what he's saying. I mean how can he say, she was suppose to be dead"

"Don't worry about it, he said she survived it and its some kind of miracle and besides he's one of the best. He knows what he's doing. Besides the wolfsbane would have weakened her, so she needs her rest"

"Then we should let her sleep. Its been 3 hours already". 

"Are you going to keep sitting here king Peter?. That tight hug seems uncomfortable. Are you comfortable?". 

"That's bot the case. Don't worry about it. Although I agree that the hug is tight but its bearable. Besides I'm responsible for her condition". I heard king peter voice again and I squinted my brows. 

Who's responsible for what?, and why are their voice so loud?. I groaned before laying on my back and opened my eyes slowly. 

"Why are you guys so loud?. Is sleeping a crime this days?". I asked as I flinched at  the bright light. 

"Ohh Malina, welcome back. Do you think we are worried because you are sleeping?. You fainted dumbass" Gerald said and I rolled my eyes. 

"Fainted indeed, don't give me that bull-crap. I am sure you just finding a way to disturb my sleep. Now go away, I am so comfortable here". I said and went back to sleep and hugging my pillow beside me. 

Touching my stiff pillow, I squinted my eyes and  felt a little bit weird. Why does this pillow feel too sturdy. 

"Malina, don't you have any shame left in you?".  Gerald said beside me and I opened my eyes to retort. However what I found in front of me, made me back away in shock. 

"Ouch!", I winced and ready to accept my fate and fall from the bed as I jerked back abruptly, but before I could land on the ground, Gerald caught me, saving me from embarrassment. 

"Woah. What do you think you are doing sleeping with me?. Do you have no shame?". I asked as I looked at Gerald and Uncle Francis. 

"I get that he's the king but for you guys to allow him sleep with me, are you that scared of him that you follow his every order?". I asked and then stood properly and noticed my hands which has completely healed. 

'Ashley, what is going on here?. Why did you take too long to heal?. I know I take in little dose of wolfsbane everyday but it shouldn't have stopped you from healing within minutes. Why did the healing take so much time?'. I asked Ashley and she just sighed. 

'We'll talk about this later. First deal with this matter at hand'. She said and I sighed before looking at King  Peter. 

"You were calling the name white wolf in your dreams. Who's she?". King Peter asked me and I scrunched my brows. 

"White wolf?. That's my mother's nickname. Why?". I asked and he looked at me confused before evening his expression. 

"Oh anyways. I did my duty of taking care of you, by allowing you hug me for 3 hours long, so don't go around saying I'm ungrateful". He said and I scoffed. 

"Duty indeed, I am sure you we're taking advantage of me while I slept. Hugging me while I slept". I said and Gerald went out and brought in a pair of slippers. 

"You always know what I want. Don't you?". I said before slipping into the slippers. 

"What time is it?". I asked and uncle Francis sighed. 

"It's around 4:30 am, you were asleep for 3 hours and saying I was worried would be an under statement. From what the doctor said the wolfsbane was suppose to kill you but some how you survived it. Well I'm just happy you're conscious now and still have the strength to fight everyone". Uncle Francis said and while I let out a forced smile, what he said had me thinking. It was the same thing that happened in the forest back at my pack but the difference is no voice spoke to me this time. 

"Well, I'm famished, I'm going to the kitchen to get something. Gerald come with me and make me my favorite sandwiches. Also, I need full details about the ball that will hold in two days. How many people are we inviting?". I asked uncle Francis and he took out his phone. 

"I have emailed you the guest list. Do let me know If you don't want anyone's presence here". He said and I chuckled. 

"There is none like that. I want everyone to come and see me. After all I am the star of the party right?. That's the reason I came three days earlier so I would be ready for the party". I said and he nodded before patting me on the head. 

"We'll do as our princess say's". He said and left. 

"Why do you address everything in the council chamber as yours?. Is she daughter Francis?. Someone I don't know of?." King Peter asked and I looked at him. 

"Its not like that king peter, you see, she's someone very important to me", uncle Francis said and as always Gerald looked at him, feeling offended while I chuckled at his expression. 

"Come on, we both know he's just joking", I said and Gerald nodded and held my hands

"Only you treat me nicely". He said and we both walked out of the room. 

"Gerald, why don't you go and make me sandwiches. I have something to discuss with this king". I said and he sighed. 

"I hope you don't create a ruckus". Gerald said. 

"Oh, don't worry about that, I won't pick a fight unless he provokes me". I said and winked at him before he left. 

Turning around, I walked towards the medical room and was to enter when I heard king peter on phone. 

"You don't need to worry about anything, things are going fine here. My assistant, Jake, is taking  care of thing. Just make sure to take care of Alice and find out more about that white wolf of a lady. For some reason I have more interest in her now. 

"Are you done eavesdropping on my conversation?". He suddenly asked before turning around to look at me, and I accidentally bumped into a vase making if fall. 

"Huh?. Who is eavesdropping on conversation?. I just wanted to know why you did kiss me?. I wasn't conscious then but I am now". I said and he coughed slightly.
