Alven Calls

Malina POV 

I didn't want to ask this but to save myself from the fact that I was eavesdropping, I said whatever came to my mouth and now that I've said it, I can't help but regret it. 

I won't deny it and say I hated it when he kissed me earlier. For the first time in my life someone's touch didn't irritate me. 

Apart from Kane when we were in love. Although we we're together, all we ever did was little kisses, pecks and hugs because we wanted it to happen on our wedding night. 

Though I have missed before, this kiss was nothing like the kisses I've had before. I wanted it to last and the thought of this made me feel strange. 

"You know what never mind, I guess it just a spur of the moment". I said and was about to leave the room when I received an incoming call from an unknown number. 

"Hello who is this?". I asked as I picked the call. 

"I heard you were looking for me. You were the one who killed my men and helped the council confisticate my weapon. Why don't we meet near the council chamber and have a little chat, that's what you wanted right?". A strangers voice said and my expression turned cold, turning my gaze and walking  towards the window, in hopes of seeing any vision concerning this guy. 

"Alven, its you right?. Do you think I'm stupid. I knew you were there last night. I don't know how you escaped our ambush last night but I'm sure you heard me last night. You want me to come down and fall into your traps. I'm alot of things but being stupid is not on the list of things that I am. If you wanted to meet me, then you wouldn't have allowed your people to face such cruel fate. Yoi would have stepped out and showed your  face but instead you turned your back". I said and King Peter moved closer to me. 

"Alven?. Isn't that the guy you were looking for?". He asked and I nodded. 

"Look, me being present there is none of your business. You want information about the Rogues head and I'm ready to provide them. However I have one condition, I am standing here alone with my friend. Now its your choice if you want to meet or not. I will be leaving this town in an hour. I will be waiting for you at the Heartfelt Brunch". He said before hanging up the call and I gripped my phone tightly, almost breaking it. 

I guessed right. He was indeed there. Last night when the battle was heavy, I had sneakyly placed a piece of paper in one of the rogues pocket. I had written in the paper my phone number and if he doesn't reach out to me, I would keep ruining his plans. 

However. What is the surety that the person who called me was Alven?. Why didn't he just come out like I asked. 

But what if he's truly Alven and can get me Information that leads me to the head of the rogues and find some answers?. He also mentioned a condition. What could he possibly want from me?. Will it be my surrendering to the rogue head?. And what if he's lying and there is a herd of them there?. 

There are too much uncertainties with the situation  and a lack of vision about this mission, I'm not sure I should go. 

It's 5am and he said he's waiting at the brunch restaurant and will leave within an hour. This could be dangerous but at the same time could be a rare opportunity. 

I know I should contact the council member about this and have them come with me but what if he runs away again and does not tell me anything?. There are high chance he will be precautious after what happened last night. 

"Malina, what did he say?. Is he asking you for something?. He's asking you to meet up, I heard that much but what did he mean about condition?. King peter said bringing me out of my thought and I looked at him momentarily. 

"Its none of your business. Disnt you just say you don't consider me worthy of your friendship?. Why are you poking your nose in my business?". I asked before walking towards the gate. 

"Don't leave like this when I'm talking to you. Are you going?. I'm coming with you, can't let you risk your life like this. What of he kidnaps you or tries to avenges his friends death by harming you?". He asked while grabbing my hands and I look at him dead in the eyes and a hint of worry evident in them. 

"I am not going. I'm not stupid enough to fall for his stupid trap". I said and jerked away my hand from his grip. 

"You aren't going?. What do you mean?. Just last night you were ready to giveaway to the rogues all the ammunition we found and now when an opportunity present itself, you arr telling me, you aren't going". He asked me and I smiled softly. 

"You are still suspicious of me aren't you?. You are afraid that my stupidity will make you lose an important target right?. You want me to go there so you can follow and catch him right?". I asked him and he sighed. 

"It would be a waste to get such a rare opportunity go to waste. But that doesn't mean I am suspecting you again. You have your reason for acting in whatever way you want to act. I just want to understand you and your action". He said and looked at me observantly and I hummed. 

"As I said, my matters shouldn't concern you lycan king". I said before nodding and leaving the room. 

"Malina? Where are you?. I thought you went to your room. I prepared your favorite sandwiches". Gerald said as I descended down the stairs and I nodded and followed him to the kitchen. 

"What were you and the king talking about? You guys looked pretty upset with each other". Gerald said and I ate my sandwich in silence. 

"Gerald can I go visit the lake where the ammunition was confisticated?. I want to check something". I said and he nodded. 

"Do you want me to accompany you?". He asked and I shook my head. 

"No, I will be going to the town site after that, I will you if something comes up", I said and he looked at me observantly. 

"Something is bugging you right?. You always leave alone when something is bugging you to go find peace. What is it?". He asked and I sighed. 

"Its nothing, I just missed my mom and dad". I said and he smiled at me sadly. 

"Mal, nobody can ever take the place of uncle and aunt in you life but I promise you that if you stay here you would never feel alone. I now you are out there because you feel betrayed and the anger insids you hasn't settled yet, but give it a thought. Its been a month and half since you left your pack. Its high time you settle down somewhere". He said and I scoffed

"Gerad what do you think?. Why I'm I roaming around?. Do you think I'm trying to vent my anger? NO. I'm moving around seeking answers as to who and whom is involved in my parent death. I will kill every single rogues and the master mind that used them". I said and crushed the glass in my hand. 

"Malina what are you doing? Doctor!. Do you think you can go on like this?. Dont you see how many people you hurt jut by being like this?. Most importantly, how you hurt your self. Doctor!, come quickly". Gerald shouted and it wasn't long before the doctor came to my side and started taking out the glass pieces from my hands. 

"You see. Do you sse how much anger is residing inside me?. Do you think I can settle down like this?. I am here because I want to attend the annual ball. And regarding him, do you think i will let him enjoy the position of Alpha of the pack that my father created?. I am out for retribution, Gerald. It might be hard to understand, but i will kill anyone that between me and my goal". I said before looking at my hand that was bandaged by the doctor. 

"People are getting hurt because of me?. Thanks for you hospitality. I will be leavingin two days, bear with me till then". I said before standing up and kicking the chiair away, making Gerald closed his eyes as he winced slightly. 

Turning around, I walked out of the kitchen and my eyes met with King Peter who had a plain look on his face. 

"Malina, what happened to your hand?". He asked and I smiled at him sarcastically. 

"My stupidity took over me and I ended up hurting myself". I said before before walking out of his sight, my head consumed with too much anger to care about anything the moment.
