Brooklyn realized that Lorraine was knowledgeable in these things. She wasn't that great a person, but her etiquette was top-notch.

"Don't hold your cutlery like that!" She smacked his hand with a spoon. "That's wrong! As a well-bred Omega, you should hold the knife at this position!"

"Okay, okay," Brooklyn muttered. "Don't be so fierce."

"It's not like I want to. Dimitri made it clear that you have to master the basics, or you'll embarrass yourself." Lorraine sighed. "What exactly did you learn in school? How is it possible that you don't even know the most basic of manners and etiquette?"

Brooklyn felt a little depressed at the mention of that. "It's not like I didn't want to learn these things."

In fact, he would've loved to be educated in these things. However, he hadn't even graduated from high school, let alone gone to university. Where could he have learned about these things? He'd been too busy surviving to have picked up etiquette.
