Chapter 87

Sarah was shocked, and she didn't expect who would have sent her such a text message.

Just then she received a notification. It was a photo sent from that same number. She quickly picked it up and opened it. It was a picture of her and her mother leaving the underground bar.

Her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped. “What?” she exclaimed. “Who is this? This person definitely knows my movement.” I muttered silently.

She quickly dialled the number, and the number picked up, “Hello, who are you?” she shouted at the top of my voice.

It was Marina that was at the other end of the line. She chuckled lightly and laughed silently on the other end of the phone.

She knew she had touched Sarah’s weak point. Immediately she hung up.

Marina paced around the room thinking about how to get to Sarah and make her do whatever she needed.

She needs the money to pay for her mother’s surgery. She knew that this would be a life-changing opportunity for her and her family.

She would have loved to help Elena out, but after giving it so much thought, she knew that it would only put her life in danger.

Immediately, Marina picked up the phone and gave Sarah a call. Sarah picked up after the first ring.

“Tell me what you want. Name your price,” Sarah spoke in a serious tone.

“If you want to shut me up, pay $50,000 in cash,” Marian spoke in a lower tone.

Sarah scoffed, “That is much; why are you doing this? What do you know?” she spoke.

“$50,000 and I will discard your secret,” she spoke.

“How do I know you have my secret?” Sarah asked.

Marian didn't say a word. She knew that if she sent the voice recording, Sarah would trace it and know it was in the house.

“I know you set Elena up. I have all the evidence. What more evidence do you need?” she spoke.

“Where do I give you the money?” she asked, narrowing her eyes in anger.

“I will text you the location. Make sure you don't try anything funny, or else you will be a mess,” Marina threatened.

Sarah knew that she wouldn't try anything so things wouldn't get out of hand. She has to be careful so that her plans will not be spoilt. She knew that if her plans went well, she would become a billionaire as the new Mrs. Coleman.

“Fine,” she spoke, and Marian hung up. She stayed in her house in a quiet room. It was her day off, and she had to settle everything right now.

Sarah paced around the room, and she didn't know what to do. She knew she had to get the money ready, and she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.

Immediately, she reached for her car keys and zoomed off. She arrived at the bank and walked straight in with a black bag in her hand.

“I would like to make a withdrawal of $50000, she said.”

Marina followed her silently, and she saw Sarah walking out of the bank into her car. Immediately, she walked to the back of the building and called Sarah.

Sarah picked up immediately as she scanned the whole environment.

“Are you sure the money is complete?” she asked.

Sarah was caught off guard and she looked around. She tried to check because she knew she had been followed.

“Yes, it is,” she spoke.

“Don't bother scanning the environment. You won't find me.” I will call you in the next 30 minutes.” Marina spoke and hung up.

Marina quickly took a cab and covered a scarf. She walked into an isolated place in the woods, and when it was exactly 30 minutes from when she called, Marina called Sarah.

“I just sent you the location and the instructions; do not play dirty games,” she spoke and hung up immediately.

Sarah's phone buzzed with a notification, and she opened the message.

“At the central woods in the uncompleted building. Drop the bag in the bin and walk away,” it read.

Sarah drove off to the woods, and she arrived at the woods. She looked around to see that everywhere was empty. She hurriedly dropped the bag in the bin and zoomed off.

Immediately, she got a notification. “Done,” it read.

She zoomed off to the house with an angry face. She didn't know how to express her anger. It would have been easier for her to get rid of the strange person so that her mind would be at peace.

She got into her room and paced around. She wondered if she had to tell her mother or not so that they would know what to do.

She thought of what to do, and everything was draining. Maybe she shouldn't tell her mother about it since she had silenced the caller.
