Chapter 36

Elena’s POV:

It is another lovely day. I woke up very early in the morning to do some exercises and stretch my legs. The antenatal classes have been helpful, and I have been feeling at ease for some time now.

I finished my morning exercise when the sun had risen, and I walked into the house to have a nice shower. Nicklaus helped me in the shower.

I went downstairs and tied my hair up in a messy bun. I perceived the smell of bacon and fried fish, which made me even more hungry.

“Good morning, Madam,” the chefs greeted.

“Good morning,” I said back as I sat at the kitchen counter.

They all fixed their eyes on me, and I raised an eyebrow. “Why are y'all staring?” I asked, placing my hands under my chin. “Do I look like a mess?” I asked

One of the chefs nodded her head. “Quite the contrary, ma'am. Your skin glows, and you look heavenly.

I rolled my eyes. “That's what you get when you are being taken care of,” I said, and we all laughed.

She stood up to pour me a glass of fresh juice, and one of the chefs ran to me and decided to help me out. “Maam, let me help you out,” she said.

“Why? It's just coffee.” I responded.

“Maam, Mr. Coleman will not be happy if he sees you serving yourself,” she said.

Then I remember when Nicklaus got so angry that I decided to serve myself, and he got very angry at the workers.

“Alright,” I said, and I allowed her to serve me.

I had a wonderful breakfast with Nicklaus, and the stylist was here after breakfast to take our measurements, which didn't take so long.

I felt excited that I would be attending such a high-profile event, but I became nervous at the same time because of the paparazzi and some stupid questions they asked.

After taking our measurements, they left the house, and Nicklaus also left for work immediately. I walked him to the car and kissed him goodbye before going into the house.

I walked to my room after seeing him off, and the doorbell rang.

I walked back to the hallway to see who it was, and when the bodyguards opened the door, I was so excited.

“Zoey!” I exclaimed, and she quickly ran upstairs to hug me.

“It's so good to see you. How have you been?” I asked.

“Well, I am doing great. How have you been?” She asked me.

I giggled. “Not so bad. I feel good. You should come back to Los Angeles. It’s boring without you here,” I said, putting on a long face.

Zoey had been in Oregon for a few months because of work, and I have missed her so much. I wish she was still in Los Angeles so that we could be close and have a good time together.

“You know I have work duties, but we can always communicate,” she said.

I frowned, and when an idea struck me, my favourite lit up. “I have an idea. Let's spend time today in the spa. That way, we could reconnect and relax,” I said.

“I have been feeling strong lately, and I am attending the Academy Awards with Nicklaus, so I need this spa date.”

“Alright then, let's hit the streets of Los Angeles,” Zoey smiled.

I changed into a black denim trousers and a black hoodie. I also parked my hair in a sleek bun and slipped into a pair of white sneakers before heading out.

We arrived at the spa after a few minutes, and first of all, we headed to the sauna for a deep body massage. We chatted and relaxed during the whole massage session. We got our hair and nails ready.

“I hope Jay is taking care of you,” I said.

She smiled and said, "He is the perfect man. He is so sweet.” but I could tell something was wrong.

“I can't wait for you both to get married. I want to be an aunt so badly.” I spoke, letting it slide.

We had an hour-long session of lash extensions, and I felt brand new.

Nicklaus had been calling me every 10 minutes to check on me, and I was already getting tired. He could not even stay a day away from me, but I liked the attention he had been giving me.

My phone lit up again. I checked the screen, and it was Nicklays again. "Yes, babe,” I said.

“I just want to tell you I love you, and please take care of yourself,” he said.

“I love you too. I can't wait to see you tonight.” I spoke.

After the spa date, I started feeling hungry, so we stopped at a nearby restaurant to have a nice meal. I ordered chicken soup and some fresh fruit. I had not been able to stop eating chicken soup since I got pregnant.

“What would the world be like without kitchen soup?” I spoke

After our meal, it was almost getting dark, and we were walking outside to the waiting car in the parking lot when I bumped into Caleb.
