Chapter 33

Elena’s POV:

I woke up the next day in Nicklaus’ arms. He had been very happy about the news, and he had been pampering me since yesterday. I slowly walked out of bed as I felt nauseous. I ran to the bathroom to throw up, and Nicklaus followed me to the bathroom.

He held my hair up and rubbed my back. I have been throwing up since yesterday. I sat on the toilet seat and rested for a while. 

Nicklaus helped clean me up, and he decided to bathe me. He prepared the bathtub and filled it with nice essential oils and some rose petals.

“You are going to be just fine; just let me help you relax,” he said, and he reached for my hands.

I relaxed my head on his legs as he massaged my scalp. The rest of my body was in the water. After some time, he washed my hair and scrubbed my body. The hot water was so relaxing, and I began to regain my strength.

He turned on the warm water, which cascaded down my body from head to toe. He gently rinsed me off. His hands were so soft, and he was gentle with me.

Nicklaus fixed his eyes on me. “Can I tell you something?” he asked.

“Yes, go ahead,” I said.

“I have never done this to any woman in my life. I don't know how I managed to do this perfectly with you,” he spoke.

I was stunned. “Really? I asked raising my eyeborws, and he nodded his head.

“You are doing it skilfully, and I thought that was how you were doing to your other girlfriends,” I joked.

He chuckled, “No, they never meant anything to me. I just have fun and forget about them,” he spoke.

When he was done. I stepped out of the shower and gently sat in the closet with the help of Nicklaus. Nicklaus carefully dried my hair and moisturised my body. I felt good, and my body was relaxed. I wish he could do this every day. 

I needed more of him, and I enjoyed how he pampered me. All my life, I have never experienced such.

He dressed me up in a black fitted dress, and I packed my hair in a sleek bun. There was no need to make up to conceal dark circles. My face was already glowing.

We had breakfast in the room, and when it was time to visit the hospital, we headed downstairs to the waiting car. He held my waist, and my hips swayed from side to side.

He quickly rushed to the car and opened the door for me. I sat comfortably, and he sat with me.

“To the hospital,” he spoke to the driver, and the driver started the engine and zoomed off into the street.

“Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything?” Nicklaus turned to me and asked.

I smiled lightly and said, “No, I am perfect.” I spoke. Adjusting my seating position.

“What about food? Are you hungry?” He asked me, fixing his gaze at me as if he were trying to read my thoughts.

“Common, we just had breakfast. I am perfectly alright.” I spoke while narrowing my eyes at him.

“Well, you need to be eating always because you are now eating for two,” he said.

I nodded my head and said,"Yes, sir.” I spoke and giggled.

We arrived at the hospital and headed to Dr. Hayes's office with the gynaecologists. “Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman,” he greeted.

“Good morning.” I greeted her with a warm smile.

“How have you been, Dr. Hayes?” Nicklaus asked as they shared a handshake. They spoke as if they had known each other for years.

We all had seats, and Dr. Hayes turned to me. “Mrs. Coleman, how do you feel today?” he asked.

“I feel better now, but it was disastrous this morning,” I said.

He nodded his head. “Those are the symptoms. With time, but will subside. Are you ready to take the test?” he asked

“Yes, I am,” I said, nodding my head.

He stood up and gestured for me to follow him. Nicklaus and I shared eye contact before entering the examination room.

My blood was drawn from my veins, and I went back to sit with Nicklaus. After a few minutes, the doctor walked out of the laboratory with a paper in his hands.

“Congratulations! You are pregnant.” The doctor smiled. Her voice was soft, and it was filled with excitement.

Nicklaus chuckled and smiled widely. I could see his teeth. He wrapped his arms around me for a tight hug, and he kissed my forehead.

“Yes!” he exclaimed. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and kissed me on the face multiple times.
