Chapter 31

Elena’s POV:

I held the test strips in my hands as I looked at the result. Zoey and Irina gave me a questioning look. I looked at them in confusion, and the words couldn't come out of my throat.

I could not believe what I was seeing. It was as if it were all a dream. This is what Nicklaus and my family ever wanted.

“Elena!” I heard a sound coming from the room. I raised my eyes because the voice was familiar and the door was swung open.

It was Nicklaus. He quickly opened the door to run to me, but he froze when he saw what was in my hand.

My breath ceased as I looked at him. My heart was beating fast, and my excitement was growing.

“Did you?” he asked while he stuttered. “Did you take the test?” he asked.

I nodded my head with a smile on my lips as I pressed my lips into a thin line. “I did the test,” I said.

“What?” he asked. His gaze moved to the test strips.

“I did the test.” I spoke out loud, and Nicklaus watched me in disbelief. I showed him the result, and his eyes widened. He held it in his hands.

He quickly wrapped his arms around me and leaned in to give me a long kiss on the lips. After a few seconds, we pulled away. “I love you, Elena. I love you,” he said excitedly.

He carried me up in his arms and kissed me.

Irina and Zoey walked up to me with a questioning look on their faces, and I nodded my head with a smile on my face. “Yes, I am pregnant,” I blurted out. My voice was low and full of excitement.

Nicklaus held me tightly. I knew that he had been praying so hard for a child, and I am glad I could make him happy. He was the happiest man in the world.

“Excuse me,” Zoey and Irina said as they walked out of the bathroom.

Nicholas held me tight and planted multiple kisses on my forehead. He gently placed his hands on my belly, and there were some intimate moments between us.

“I have missed you, and you have given me beautiful news,” he said. He cupped my face in his hands and kissed my forehead.

“You have brought nothing but joy and excitement. I can't wait to be our little one.”

“You look tired and weak. Let's get you somewhere to sit.” He spoke, and we walked out of the bathroom to the bedroom. He gently sat on the bed.

“You need to get enough rest. We will visit the hospital tomorrow. I just booked an appointment with the doctor,” he said.

Zoey was so excited, and I wished she could stay back. She said goodbye and left the house so that Nicklaus and I would have a great time.

Nicklaus had a hot shower and freshened up while I lay on the bed. I had missed so much, and I could not wait to cuddle in his arms.

A tray of delicious meals was served, and Nicklaus fed me quietly. He made sure that I ate to my satisfaction since I hadn't eaten all day. He fed me and made sure that I had more than enough.

“You are going to turn me into a glutton, and I am going to add so much weight in due time,” I giggled.

After eating, I became so weak and tired that I fell asleep in Nicholas’ arms. He cuddled me, and I enjoyed his warm body.

I never want to be away from him anymore. I felt grateful that all I had wished for had finally come to pass.

Nicklaus will be mine forever, and I will always make sure we are happy together. I can't wait for us to start our little family together.

I opened my eyes to see Nicklaus's eyes on me. “Thank you so much,” I spoke. “I love you.”

He looked at me with a warm smile on his face and said, “I love you, Elena, and I will always make sure that you are happy and satisfied.” He spoke and kissed me on the forehead.

We lay on each other's arms and went to sleep.!
