Tears streamed down Nurse Grey's eyes, and she remembered all the events that happened in the past. Memories that she had forgotten long ago.
She remembered Mrs. Emily Williams. She knew it was her best friend even though she couldn't recognise her.
She remembers Sarah, and she knew that she was the same age as the girl she had given birth to, but she knew Sarah wasn't hers.
She wondered where her daughter, whom she had named Elena, was now. Was she happy growing up with Emily and Williams? Is she safe right now? Did she ever think who her mother was?
She looked down at her old hands, wrinkled from so many years of serving. Hands that carried multiple newborns but barely held hers.
She remembered the day she gave Elena up. Even though she never wanted to, that was the odd choice she has left because Williams mother had been following her and threatening to kill Elena since she disobeyed her orders.
She cried even more because she didn't want to reveal her identity, but she wished she could set her eyes on her daughter once more. Now fate had brought them back together.
Nurse Grey sobbed continuously. Her body shook, and her eyes were puffy. She wished she could see Elena’s face. She wondered what Elena looked like right now.
She knew she wouldn't be accepted by her daughter because she abandoned her when she was a little child, but she just wanted the best for her. She wanted her daughter to have everything in the world and never lack.
She sat in the closet for a while and thought about all that had happened. She wiped her tears, and then her name was announced. She hurriedly walked out into the hallway.
Emily Williams was also walking in the hallways holding two cups of coffee when Anna bumped into her.
Emily had a disgusting look. “Hey, watch it,” she spoke.
“I'm so sorry,” she spoke and walked away. She walked into Doctor Thompson’s office.
“I was asked to be here, Dr. Thompson,” she said.
“Yes, Mrs. Grey, I need you to check Mr. Williams's vitals. We need to prepare him and run some extra tests. Things don't look so good,” he said.
Anna’s heart skipped a beat; she didn't want to go in there anymore since Williams had recognised her. She didn't want things to get awkward. She stood there, lost in thought.
“Mrs Grey?” Dr. Thompson called,
Anna snapped back to reality, “Yes, doctor. I will do that right away,” she said and walked out of the room. She walked to the hallways, heading for Mr. Williams's ward, and it felt as if the ground should open up and swallow her.
She slowly swung the door. Mr. . Williams was lying on the bed, and there was nobody in the room. His facial expression softened when he set his eyes on Anna.
He watched her as she checked the monitor and the drip. He was becoming emotional, and he didn't know what to say to her anymore.
After checking the drip, Anna slowly pulled away when Williams held her hand. "Anna,” he called.
She gazed at him for a few minutes, and there was silence in the room. She tried to pull away from his grip, but he held her firm.
“Anna, please. Can I have a word with you?” he asked.
“What do you want from me?” she asked.
His eyes landed on her name tag again when he read out the name. “Mrs. Grey, Anna, did you get married?” he asked.
Immediately, the door was swung open, and Emily walked into the room. She was stunned to see Williams holding the nurse’s hands, and Anna pulled away immediately.

Penelope returned to the mansion after her short life. She had visited the countryside to be with her family. She also visited Marina’s family, and they were all right.
She says in her bed as she thinks about everything. She thought about the beautiful mansion Marina had bought for her family before her disappearance, which always made her wonder what exactly was going on.
Her eyes darted around the room. She remembered the last night she set her eyes on Marina. How Marina was in a haste to run away and how she gave Penelope some stuff to keep for her.
Penelope reached for her room door and turned the lock. She walked back to her closet and searched for the little box.
She kept it on the tables, and she unlocked it. She was shocked to see a bundle of dollars, some photos of Sarah, and some recording tapes.
Her eyes widened when she went through the picture. It was Sarah with some me dressed in black and also Sarah with a gun.
Her mouth opened widely as she used her hand to cover her mouth. “What are these?” she asked, narrowing her eyes.
She closed her window curtains and connected the radio. She listened to all of the voice notes, and her mouth wouldn't close.
She was so surprised that Marina had such good information on Sarah.
“These were evidence that Sarah had been behind all of the misfortunes of Miss Elena. I never knew I had something dangerous with me. Why hasn't Marina returned in 5 years? Did she start a new life?
Marina thought to herself. She wondered what to do with such heavy evidence because she knew that she would be risking her life.
“I think I need to show this to Mr. Nicklaus. He is brave and wouldn't mention to anyone that I was the person who gave him this. He needs to know who he got married to after Elena,”
Nicklaus’s POV:I have been very busy with this ongoing investigation about Elena and Sarah lately. Everything had been so suspicious lately, and I planned to get to the root of everything, though I am enevarted. For the past 24 hours, I have barely slept or eaten. I had been busy with document reviews and investigations. I had discovered a lot of things since the case was reopened, and I have discovered Sarah’s involvement in everything, even though there seem to me to be so many hidden secrets.I arrived at the mansion and stood in front of Sarah’s doorway. After some time thinking about it, I barged into her room. I had already obtained permission from Mr. Williams for this case about Sarah. My eyes scanned around the room. Everything was arranged in order. I decided to do some little searches.I found nothing. I couldn't find any suspicious items. There was no clue. I became frustrated and angry. I am ready to find the answers to all of my questions. The truth was somewhere,
Sarah’s POV:I walked into the study to see my mother sitting wearily on the chair. I closed the door gently, narrowing my eyes, and walked to my mother. “Mother, what's wrong? You sounded so urgent; pm the phone.” I asked, but she didn't respond.I stared at her, and my eyes widened. “Mother, you are scaring me. What is the matter? Is Dad alright?” I asked. She nodded her head and gestured for me to sit. “Please sit down, Sarah,” she spoke.I sat on the chair opposite her, and my eyes never left hers. There was silence in the room as I waited for her to speak.“Sarah, the file had gone missing,” Emily spoke; My eyes widened, and my heart slammed hard against my chest. “What file, what do you mean, mother?”“The file to the shares of the Coleman company,” she spoke. “What?” I asked and immediately ran into the library. I searched around but couldn't see anything. My mother followed me. “It was in this shelf,” she pointed out, “but now I can't find it,” she spoke. My jaw dropped
Sarah’s POV:“Well, madam Sarah. Mr. Coleman had reopened the case again. He is so serious about it. He is working hand in hand with the investigators,” Nicklaus's lawyer spoke. “Get me enough information as soon as possible. Get me everything you can lay your hands on before tomorrow afternoon,” I spoke and hung up.My heart was pounding fast in my chest, and I found it hard to catch my breath. My eyes widened in disbelief, and I was even more confused than before.“Nicklaus took the files from the study. How did he manage to do that?” I muttered silently to myself; there was a calculative look on my face as I tried to process this information. Who would have informed Nicklaus about the file? It couldn't be my father. It had to be one of the workers in the house. The two cleaners. Yes, they must know something about this.I sat in the room feeling uneasy and confused about the whole drama going on. If Nicklaus tries to take up this case again, he might find out the truth. I am in b
Nicklaus’s POV:It's been raining all night long. I lay in bed and tried to get enough rest, but I could not. I thought about everything that had happened and I blamed myself.I have to speak with Elena immediately. I roll out of bed and change into something casual. I stepped into my car, my bodyguards surrounding me, but I stopped them. “I want to be alone,” I said and zoomed off into the highway.Aside from her father wanting to speak with her to come back and run his company because everything is falling apart, I miss Elena. I was ready to pay the price to have her back in my life. I drove under the heavy rain and arrived at Anex’s penthouse. I rang the doorbell and waited for the door to be opened. After a few seconds, the door was opened, and it was Elena. She was standing in the doorway. “Nicklaus,” she muttered. “Elena, can I speak to you?” I asked. She walked out and stood in the doorway, “It's late. Everybody is asleep. I don't want you to wake them up. Are you okay?”
Elena’s POV:I lay on my bed as I tried to get enough sleep but I couldn't. The noise of the rain and the thunder. What Nicklaus just said to me made me feel sad, and it made my heart heavy. I walked to Wave’s room to see him sleeping peacefully. I gently closed the door and went into my room. I rested my back on the door, and I collapsed on the floor. Tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably, and my body was shaking with sobs. I couldn't believe all that I had just heard. It is so hard for me to believe Nicklaus. I thought about how he maltreated me, thinking I was the monster. It turns out that Sarah had been behind all of this. As for my father, I don't feel sorry for him. I just want all of them out of my life for good, and nothing would take my peace away. I stood up and walked to the widow to see Nicklaus standing in the rain. He didn't look so good, but I couldn't care less. I closed the curtain and turned off the light.I lay on my bed and forced myself to sleep, but I
Nicklaus’s POV:I woke up to see the morning sun resting on Elena’s face. It felt so good to see her sleeping peacefully in my arms. “Nicklaus,” she called. She slowly moved away from me.“Good morning, Elena,” I said.“Nicklaus, you need to go before our—my son sees us in here,” she spoke up.I sat upright. “Please, can you get me my clothes?” I asked. She rushed out immediately and brought the clothes back in. I quickly put it on and was about to leave when the door was open. Elena’s eyes widened as Jason ran into the room. “Good morning, mummy,” he called and ran to Elena. He stopped when he set his eyes on me. “Uncle Nicklaus?”Elena and I didn't say a word. We just kept quiet. Immediately the door was open, and Zoey walked in. “Elena,” she paused, her eyes on Nicklaus. “Uncle Nicklaus, what are you doing here?” wave asked. I looked at Elena. “Uh, I just dropped by this morning to invite your mother for dinner,” he spoke. “Really?” Wave asked. Elena gave me side eyes, but th
Sarah’s POV:“Are you sure of what you are telling me? I need you to get me more information,” I said. “Maam, I can't get my information out of that right now. It turns out that it is between Mr. Sam and Mr. Coleman. But it can only be one thing. Mr. Sam is a divorce lawyer,” he spoke. “Get your hands on anything as soon as possible and let me know. I will be waiting.” I had been feeling uneasy lately, and I knew that things weren't right. I had ordered the boys to attack Nicklaus penthouse and search for anything that they could get their hands on. I had also broke into his bedroom to see if I could get my hands on any evidence to get rid of it, but I couldn't find a single piece of evidence.Does this mean that Nicklaus has no idea about the missing file in my father’s house?I exhaled deeply as I walked around the room. “What if he doesn't know anything about this? Why had he been acting strange then?”Immediately, my phone buzzed, and I reached for it. It was a picture of Nick
Elena and Zoey sat on the couch as they both ate popcorn and drank fresh juice. Elena rolled her eyes. “I wish I could have some red wine right now, but I still have to follow the doctor’s advice until I get better,” Elena spoke out loud.“You are right. It would have been a great way to watch this movie. Dinner would be ready soon,” Zoey spoke. They both turned around to see Wave playing with his iPad. “He looks so handsome.” Zoey commented.“Elena nodded her head. “I know right,” she said and dipped her juice.Zoey gave her a side look. “So are you waiting for me to ask you what happened between you and Nicklaus last night? I can see the glow.”Elena smiled and shook her head. She opened her mouth to protest, but Zoey cut her off. “Don't even try to protest,” she giggled.Elena chuckled lightly. “Well, I won't deny that something happened, and it was divine. I am beginning to have a soft spot for him,” she explained.Zoey smiled. “Well, I am glad. You finally have someone to ease th
