Chapter 140

Nicklaus’s POV:

I hung up the call immediately and walked out of the room with my bodyguards walking with me. I need to find Elena and speak with her. I couldn't believe that she had been in Oregon all this while. She had even graduated from the school she had always dreamed of attending.

I got into the car, and the driver zoomed off. It was quite hard to find the place, but we got in the right direction after a while. I couldn't wait to see Elena. I wondered how she would react if she saw me.

I thought about her and the years that she had been here. How would she be now? Did she get married to Alex? Does she have a family? Why does she live here?” I thought to myself, and it only made me feel nervous.

My eyes were on the road as I looked at every building until we reached the school by the roadside.

“Over there,” I shouted, pointing to the building. The driver stepped on the brake, and the car came to a stop.

“I will be right back," she unsaid and hurriedly went down from the car. I scanned the huge build look Ng and thought of where to find Elena. It almost seemed difficult, but I wasn't ready to give up.

I walked into the building with all eyes on me. I became nervous as I walked to the receptionist. I exhaled deeply and tried to calm my nerves.

“Calm down, Nicklaus. It's just Elena; I'm sure everything will be fine. I know that she would be happy to see me,” I muttered silently, reassuring myself in my head, but deep down I wondered if she would be happy to see me.

There was a lady standing there as she talked to the receptionist. There was a huge television showing all of the cooking classes, and all of a sudden, Elena flashed on the screen. It was unexpected, and my heart pounded hard against my chest.

I took one last breath and walked over to the woman. The women blink their eyes as they stare at me. I stood in front of them, and one of the women cleared her throat.

“Good day, sir; how may I help you?” she asked,

“Good day. I am looking for someone. She just graduated here.” I spoke.

"Okay, sir, may I know her name?” She asked, looking at the screen of her laptop and looking back at me.

“Elena Williams, that's her name,” I said and waited for her response. She scanned through the computer as she narrowed her eyes.

I waited desperately, hoping that they would find her. I hope she didn't change her name or sure name. What if she got married and changed her surname? I thought to myself.

With the look on the woman’s face, she found something and was about to speak when a guy walked up to us. He looks the same age as I am. I didn't know what he was doing here, but I could tell they were familiar with him.

I was angry that he took her attention. I waited for them to be done, and the woman faced me. “Someone is here for Miss Elena,” she said.

I exhaled, finally.

The guy turned to me. “Elena Williams?” he asked.

I nodded my head instantly. “Yes,” my eyes were on his. Does he know Elena? “Is she around? Here can I find her?” I asked, waiting for his response.

He walked closer to me. “I hope you don't mind, but I would like to know what your relationship is with Elena,” he said, narrowing his eyes. He looked like he was about to threaten me.

I scoffed, “She’s an old friend of mine. For more information, my name is Nicklaus Coleman.” I spoke.

There was silence, and I was getting pissed already. I clenched my jaw. I need to know if he knows anything about Elena.

“Do you know Elena?” I asked, and he smiled at me, and I couldn't tell why. Then he spoke up.

“Elena is my girlfriend,” he spoke.

My eyes widened. “What?”
