Chapter 132

I arrived at my school. I looked up at the signboard, “School of Culinary, Oregon.” I signed when I read the writings, and I felt even more of myself.

I will graduate from here in a few weeks, and I cannot wait to be independent and have my own restaurant. I will also become an international chef, which will make me go global.

When I was lost in thought, I heard a voice calling behind me, “Elle, Elle,” it called.

I turned around, and Sam was walking towards me with a wide smile on his face. He stopped in his tracks when he came close to me.

“Good morning, same. How are you doing?” I asked.

“I'm doing great; I got you a rose,” he said, handing me a rose.

“Wow, thank you. It's so beautiful,” I said and thanked him.

Same has been a very good friend of mine since I started this school. We started at the same time, and we made a good pair. I don't even know how I could make it through this school without his support.

Sam Michael had grey eyes, light brown hair, was six feet tall, and had an athletic build. He is the heir to his father's multibillion-dollar companies, but he created time to chase his passion before running his father’s company.

All his life he had worked for his father. Always ready to please him in doing the company work, now that he had known everything about the company, he decided to chase his dreams.

He is very famous here, and all the ladies have been drooling and trying to gain his attention here. He is very hard-working; he works day and night to balance his father's income work and his culinary school. I admire his strength and passion.

We laughed our way upstairs and began our final examination. It had. Always been like that with him. He brings me flowers almost every day at school. Everything felt beautiful and carefree whenever we were together.

After the cooking today, I washed my hands and changed my outfit, ready to pick up Wave from school and to have enough rest.

“My back aches,” I spoke and stretched my body. Sam was seated on the bench as he watched me.

“Well, this is the final exam, and our graduation is next weekend; why don't you take some days off and have enough rest?” he spoke.

I shook my head. “Nay, Wave will be turning 5 next week. I still have to plan his birthday for him. I have to take out time and arrange,” I spoke.

Same stood up and walked to me, giving me a mysterious look. “What if you just take a weekend leave? I will take care of the accommodations. You both should do something different, and that way you can have enough rest while the hotel workers take care of the birthday planning.”

I put my lower lips and shook my head; I don't think that would be a good idea,” I said.

Sam’s eyes twonked. “Common, your son is going to love it,” he said.

“Okay fine. I will think about it.” I said.

“You better do. You can stay in one of my resorts. Everything is on me.” same held his hand in his and gently squeezed it.

“Your son is turning five this weekend. It's very important you both spend time together. This is a tricky age for them. They tend to ask questions while observing. This is the perfect time to let him know that you can be everything to him and that he will be able to look up to you,” the same said.

“There are tonnes of activities at the resort. I promise you, you will not regret visiting there. It also had a nice spa for your body massage,” he said.

I sat down beside him, and my eyes were starting to tear up. “That would be great. Would you come with us?” I asked.

He was lost in thought when I poked him. “You can't miss it; don't give me that look,” I laughed.

“Thank you,” I said. Sam had always been there for me, and he never wanted to see me sad. “You don't know how much this means to us,” he said.

“There's no need to thank me. You have always been a strong woman, and I love that about you,” he said.

I sniffed, trying to hold my tears back, and I leaned in for a hug. “I have to go now. It's wave’s closing hour.” I spoke nervously and stood up.

Sam brought out two boxes of pizza. “Here, Elena. You know how Wave loves my pizza. I made it with love,” he said and handed it to me.

“Thank you so much.” I also brought out a paper bag of pancakes and said, "Have this. I made it with all love,” I said.

“Thank you,” he said and stood up to hug me, but we both felt a spark, so we pulled away from the awkward situation.
