Chapter 129

Sarah’s POV:

I slowly regained consciousness and blinked my eyes open after rubbing them a few times.

I saw my Nicklaus standing in front of me, and he gently held my arms. I smiled weakly and turned to the other side of the room to see my parents standing beside me.

"Oh, my baby,” my mother said and gently squeezed my hands. “I'm glad you are awake. You gave us a scare,” my mother said. Her blue eyes sparkled, and I could feel her excitement.

My father smiled at me and kissed me on the forehead. “I'm glad you are awake,” he spoke.

I nodded my head and smiled at them. “Thank you, everyone, for being here for me,” I said weakly.

Just then, the door was opened, and the doctor came. It was the doctor from the morning who had injected me earlier.

“Good morning, Sarah, How are you feeling today?” she said with a smile on her face.

“Good morning, doctor; I feel the way better.” I spoke weakly. She walked close to me and checked the drip.

Nicklaus's eyes were on me the whole time, and I fixed my eyes on him. Nicklaysbis is my light and my joy. I am glad he is standing beside me right now. That is all that ever mattered to me.

I reached for his hands and kissed the back of his palm. “I'm glad you came,” I said.

His eyes sparkled, and he placed his hands on my baby bump. “How is the baby doing, doctor?” he asked.

The doctor nodded her head. “He is kicking and alive,” she said.

Nicklaus smiled, and I could see the excitement in his face. He is even going to be happier when I tell him that it is big, but I decided to hold on for the right time.

The doctor turned to me and Nicklaus, “Sarah, you have to always exercise and make sure that you get enough rest. Plus, you also need someone to watch over you all the time because you pass out because of stress,” she spoke.

“Thank you, doctor. I will do just that. When will I be discharged?” I asked.

“You are free to go home, Sarah,” she responded.

Nicklaus arranged the strands of my hair and announced it backwards. I turned to him and asked, “Will you be by my side to take care of me?” I asked,

Nicklaus nodded and kissed my baby bump. “I will do anything to see that my baby is alright,” he said and reached for his phone immediately. It is such a beautiful moment and I never want such to end every again.

He dialled a number, and it picked up at the first ring.

“Cancel all of my meetings this week,” he spoke and hung up.

I felt relieved that Nicklaus would be spending more time with me. This way, we could bond and everything together. I am certain he is going to fall for me because I will make sure that happens.
