Chapter 128

The drive home was a silent one, and I couldn't wait to get home. I felt satisfied with what I had done, but I had been feeling angry all day.

Lying to everyone about Nicklaus taking care of me was getting on my nerves. I wanted us to be together always just like he and Elena were but he doesn't seem to be looking in my direction.

I don't even know where he is, what he is doing right now, or when he will come back home. Is he even in the country?

It felt sad that I had to be alone in this pregnancy journey. I can't take it anymore, I must do something to make Nicklaus come back home.

I hurriedly did a U-turn and diverted to my mother's house. I had to let everything out. I know that she would have a way to sort this out.”

The iron gate was opened, and I drove inside the building. I parked close to the front pouch and quickly went to the rooftop where my mother would be.

I walked to her, putting on a long face. “What's wrong, Sarah? Don't you feel good?” She asked, her eyes filled with worry.

I didn't say a word my lips were pressed into a thin. I quickly sat on the chair and tears rolled down my cheeks.

“Mother, could you believe that Nicklaus is nowhere to be found? He had been avoiding me since we got married.” I spilt

“My mother's eyes widened. “How come you never told me about it since?” she asked.

“Because I thought I could hold it in and with time he would get back to me, but it keeps getting worse every day, Mother,” I cried out, and my voice trembled heavily.

My mother walked up to me and wrapped her arms around my shoulder. “It's fine, Sarah,” she said. After a few minutes, I fought my breath, and I stopped crying.

“Could it be that he is together with that bitch, Elena? It's been a few months, Mother. I will go to bed soon,” I lamented.

My mother shook her head. “I don't think he is with Elena. I know what to do to make him come back to you,” she spoke and immediately reached for her phone.

She dialled a number that responded quickly, “Dr. Josh?” I need to see you. There is something we need to discuss,” she spoke.

After a few seconds, she hung up the call and looked at me, "Sarah, we have to be at the hospital tomorrow. I have a plan,” she spoke.

"Mother, what plan?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.

“We are going to make Nicklaus run back to you tomorrow. You just have to calm down and let me carry out my plan,” she said.

“It's fine, Mother; I have to take my leave.” I told you to leave.

My eyes were wide open all night long. I couldn't stop thinking about what was happening and what plan my mother had.

I couldn't wait for the new day to break, and I also couldn't get enough sleep.

It was finally morning, and I rolled out of bed. I freshened up and had breakfast. I was in a happy mood, and all of the workers wondered what was going on.

I hummed to the sound of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams as I ate the wonderful pancakes Chef Henry served me.

After having breakfast, I got into the car and drove to the hospital, where I met my mother in the parking lot.

“Good morning, Mother, Did you have enough sleep last night?” I asked, pecking her in the cheeks.

“Yes, I do. I could tell you didn't have enough sleep last night,” she spoke.

“Yes, mother. I was too excited to sleep. I couldn't wait for this day to break so we could be here,” I said with a smile on my face.

We walked into the office together and the doctor greeted us. “Good morning, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Coleman.

“Good day, doctor,” my mother greeted. “Do you have everything ready?” she asked.

The doctor nodded her head and stood up from her seat. She fixed an injection and walked up to me, raising the syringe for me to look at.

“Thie will only cause you temporary pain, and it would not cause any harm. She said. It may work immediately, so when you take it, rush to the house immediately.” she advised.

I agreed and let her inject me; it was so painful.

That I closed my eyes. After everything, we quickly left the hospital, and I gathered the strength to drive to the house.

When I reached the front door and saw Mr. Mike walking out of the house, I screened in pain and fell to the ground.

Mr. Mike rushed up to me and carried me in his arms. He tried to lift me up so that I could get enough rest, and I passed out immediately.
