Chapter 119

Sarah’s POV:

“The target is out of the mansion."

I sat on the bed after having dinner. I was sipping non-alcoholic wine. I let out a satisfied sigh and sat on my bed.

I knew the black wolf was already on the lookout for Marina. She had been acting nervous since she discovered that I found out about the recorder.

She is going to find out about it tomorrow. She won't live to testify. Just when I was lost in thought, my phone buzzed.

“We found her,” it read.

It was a message from a black wolf. I met out with a sly and calculating smile.

“Good work. See you tomorrow,” I texted back and dropped my phone on the bedside.

I turned off the light and went straight to sleep, feeling satisfied and happy that everything was working in my favour.

With time, I will get Nicklaus to love me, and he would not be able to do without me.

The next morning, I woke up feeling happy and a little tired. I had been feeling nauseous lately and gained some weight.

The symptoms of pregnancy were beginning to take over. I had been feeling bloated and tired no matter how long I slept.

“Pregnancy does look good on me,” I muttered and walked to the mirror to stare at my reflection.

“Irina,” I called.

She walked into the room after a few minutes. “Prepare my bath,”

Right away, ma'am,” she responded and walked into the bathroom. Irina prepared a wonderful bath with essential oils in the water.

“This smells great; you should do this for me every day,” I said and loosened my robe. I sat in the water and allowed my muscles to relax.

I closed my eyes and let the water soak my skin as I drank warm water. After having my bath, I turned off and walked into the closet.

After doing my skin routine, I changed into a white short dress and a white long coat. I lacked my hair in a sleek bun and slipped in stiletto heels.

I had breakfast with Nicklausbin in silence. None of us said a word to each other, but I felt angry that he had not been giving me much attention. I just watched him in silence. The way his eyes sparkled and the beautiful tiny birthmark on his neck.

Nicklaus finished his meal and left for the office while I got into my car and zoomed off to the street of New York for some unfinished business.

After a long drive, I arrived at a warehouse in the woods. Black Wolf's men stood outside the vicinity, guarding the surroundings.

I got out of the car and put on my glasses. I hurriedly matched into the building with his guards opening the door and guiding me through the rooms.

A black wolf walked up to me and pecked me on the cheeks. “You came just in time, my lady,” he spoke;

“Have you taken care of my ex-boyfriend?” I asked, and the black wolf nodded his head.

“He was the first target. You have nothing to worry about,” he said.

“Where is that betrayal?” I asked, and my voice was sharp and firm as I scanned the room.

Black Wolf led the way, and I walked into a dark room with Marina standing and sitting on a chair with her hands tied to the back and her eyes blindfolded.

I walked you to her, “Take off her blindfolded.” I ordered one of the guards to do that.

Immediately he loosened it; Marina’s eyes fell on me, and our eyes locked. I could see the shock in her eyes, and her lips were slightly parted.

I gave her a cold look with a little smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

“You thought you could run away after threatening me, Marina,” I spoke and walked around her in a circular motion.

“You don't know that you are never to mess with Sarah. I never knew you could be this smart to pull such a stunt and make me so restless.” I laughed dryly.

I leaned in close to her and gave her a stern look. “What gave you so much courage? Answer me.” I asked, my voice raising. My eyes were filled with rage, and I took off my glasses.

Marina didn't say a word. She closed her eyes and couldn't bear looking at me in the eyes.

I raised my hand and put her on the cheek. “When I am speaking to you, you respond to me, you bitch.” I spat

Tears rolled down Marina’s cheeks, and she pleaded with me, “Please forgive me. I didn't mean any harm,” she spoke.

“But you sprained my ankle after collecting thousands of dollars from me.” I cut her off and raised my hand to hit her in the face again.

I exhaled loudly and stood upright. “I don't have time for this.” I spoke and brought out my pistol from my pocket. Without saying a word and not listening to Marina’s pleading, I turned on the safety.

“Say your last prayer. In your next world, do not be a snitch.” I spoke, and I pulled the trigger.

“See you in hell, bitch. Nobody messes with Sarah and goes free,” I spat.
