Sarah pov

"Morning, miss?" The maid downstairs greeted me as soon as I appeared, coming downstairs.

"Morning, Roxy." I greeted her back and walked towards the dining table.

I was a little more energised this morning, probably because I slept comfortably last night. You could say Ethan's chant was quite effective and made me fall asleep peacefully without any dreams, which kept my mind awake.

There were many times I wished I hadn't dreamed when I fell asleep. I'm too tired from so many things that dreaming makes me feel like my sleep is exhausting because my brain is awake with things that make me guess whether I'm dreaming or not.

Maybe Ethan's wine last night contributed to it, but maybe it was also his presence. He made me more relaxed before going to bed, which must have helped me feel comfortable.

But where was he?

I cast my gaze in another direction and searched for him in one corner of the place. I might have found her passing by or sitting somewhere.
