Chapter 60

Sarah’s POV

"Is the situation getting better?" I sat on my bed, my mind going nowhere even as I had just woken up.

My eyes glanced at my phone, which I didn't dare to touch because I was still traumatised by what I had read the previous day. I was afraid that today would receive even worse talks.

My hand hesitated to look at it. "It's better that I don't check it for now." I pulled back the covers and put my phone on the small nightstand beside my bed.

It was better not to know anything that could ruin my day. Ethan had promised to fix things, so for the time being, I just needed to wait quietly without much thought.

"Maybe working out will help me." I left my room, grabbed an apple from the pantry table and walked outside.

Ethan's large garden at the back was my destination to enjoy the fresh morning air and warm sun.

They say the bright sun can make you feel better, so I wanted to try to make myself feel better with its warmth. I hope the sun is shining this morning.
