Alex's POV

"When can I see her mom?" I approached my mother, who was sitting in our living room. She seemed to be enjoying her tea time alone.

Sitting on the sofa in front of her, I looked at her face with anticipation for my question. As she smiled with a thin pull of her lips, I smiled, too. "Just wait a little longer." She set her teacup back on the small saucer on the table.

My mother spent all her time being cared for and served by many people. She was a respected woman who knew how to maintain her position. She was full of mature thoughts yet not easily swayed by empathy. She was rational in dealing with people who only stood in her way, including knowing how to handle a mistress' son like Ethan.

"People are weak to pressure. They will not be able to move if they are pressured. Then, what will happen next is that pressure will make the targeted person fulfill the mold. He will do what we want." He stared confidently.

Mom was right! I agree with her, people are weak to pressure.
