Ethan's pov

"When will he arrive?" I muttered under my breath, looking at the watch in my hand. Then, I turned my gaze outside.

"Can I choose where to buy the coffee, doctor Ethan?" Doctor Smith's voice turned my gaze towards him. He pointed at the courtyard outside the hospital, where shops and cafes bustled.

Having given me his sandwich for free, he now asked me to order him coffee. For a moment, I tried to process it with the option of just giving him my card so he could buy it himself since I was not in the mood for coffee or moving from my spot, especially since I was checking the report Luke sent me.

But he said that it didn't matter if I was busy at the moment, he would wait. He then just walked out of my room without hearing my answer first. Then, when he came back to see me, who had just finished checking, he quickly charged it and didn't leave me with much choice.
