Ethan’s POv

"Don't be sad because of me," Sarah said again that, in between her meals, her thoughts didn't stop there.

I looked at her. She was trying not to care as she said it, but I could tell she was holding back the sadness in her eyes; she wasn't in a good place herself, asking me not to worry too much about her situation.

She took over her spoon and ate herself, lowering her gaze to avoid me. "You've done enough for me. Why do you feel guilty?"

I really should have just clenched my mouth shut.

Which part of me had forgotten to deal with. The doctor often emphasized her emotional state, which could be more sensitive, and Lira even confirmed it to me.

She who repeatedly met with me often discussed it in detail even if only in passing, she asked me not to forget about it and be careful because her sensitivity could trigger deep sadness and have a harmful impact on her pregnancy.

At one point, Lira told me she couldn't understand why Sarah was crying because they were looking at an
