Ethan's pov

"Sarah? Where are you?" I walked into the house and found no one else around.

The house was deserted, with no servants milling around as they usually do with work. As I continued to walk, I stared strangely and questioned where were they all? What happened? Could it be something...?

I quickly shook my head, denying the bad thoughts I was thinking. I knew I had to be vigilant, but I didn't want that kind of thing to settle into my subconscious and happen. As much as possible, I had to push my fears away and stay positive no matter what.

But this was making me uneasy. "Where did they all go?" I took out the phone from my other hand while the other hand lowered the peaches Sarah had asked me to buy onto the dining table.

I repeatedly tried to call her, but there was no answer from the other end; I ran straight to her room, and as soon as I opened the door, I became even more panicked. My chest was pounding, my fear was getting worse, and seeing her not in the usual place I go
