Chapter Fifty-Nine

"Hayden, I am pregnant; you shouldn't stress me," I grumbled when he woke me up early this morning.

"Baby, come on."

"What is it? Did you even sleep at all?" I asked, after I took one at him, then rubbed off sleep from my eyes.

"No, I couldn't sleep; now would you listen?"

"What is it?" I said, yawning in between.

"Here, open it up," he shoved a piece of paper in my face.

"What is that?" I asked, wondering what it was this time.

"Your parents, we need to start looking for them as soon as possible," he said, smiling. I was confused at first, wondering why he had to wake me up this early to talk about this.

"Did you have to wake me this early for this?" I asked, stretching my bones.

He must think I would change my mind about what I said earlier, or maybe he thought I wasn't clear-headed when I spoke to him yesterday.

"Fine," I said, throwing both hands in the wind, signaling defeat. I grabbed the paper from him and looked through the names to find mine.
