Chapter Seventy-Four

I was bored at home, but didn't know what else to do, I have strolled the house a couple of times, more than I could count; nothing was appealing to watch on television, and Hayden wasn't home yet. I tried calling a couple of times, and it went straight to voicemail. It was like the forces of the universe were working against me today.

I tried calling Ben to find out what happened, and that was when he said something about some stupid meetings he had. I asked when the meeting would be over but he said it might run till midnight. I immediately hung up as it wasn't what I wanted to hear.

I have no idea if it was my pregnancy hormones that were working, but I'm kind of tired of sitting around. I don't care where but I should go do something fun, and it's not in this damn house.

I stormed into the house to go upstairs only to find Mom lying down on the couch, looking downcast.

"Mom, are you okay?" I asked her, wondering why her face looked like that. The last I checked I knew she didn't
