Chapter One hundred.

Aurora’s POV:I closed my eyes as a burst of flavor erupted in my mouth. Klaus’ mouth tasted of mint, coffee and something else that tastes like cinnamon. It was a combination of three things I loved a lot.His gentle hands caressed my back and neck while his tongue savored my mouth, exploring every crevice. But I was still mad. Deep down, I suspected that this was his way of shutting me up… a way to abruptly end our fight because he probably didn’t have it in him to continue to argue with me. The thought didn’t sit right with me, and almost immediately, I felt myself gradually growing angry. In anger, I tried to shove him off but he wouldn’t even bulge. I tried harder, frowning when he still didn’t move away from me.“Klaus, wait…” I gasped, “stop.”At the sound of my voice, he halted his movements. His left hand that had once been tangled in my hair froze while his deep dark eyes stared into mine as though suddenly, there was something extremely fascinating about it.“What is it?”

Chapter One Hundred and One.

Aurora’s POV:I woke up to the sound of my babies crying and groaned as I begrudgingly got off the bed. The first thing I noticed when I got off was the fact that Klaus was nowhere to be found. His side of the bed was so clean and made, that one would even think he didn’t sleep here last night.Deciding to focus instead on my crying kids and not on Klaus’ whereabouts, I hopped off the bed and stumbled to their cot, frowning when I noticed that they’d both soiled their diapers, thus the reason for their incessant cries.“Argh!” I groaned again as I picked them up, one after the other, and began to clean them up. It took me a while but after I was done changing them into new diapers, I quickly fed them, placed them back into their respective cots, and sighed in relief.“Now, where is Klaus?” I pondered aloud as a sense of unease washed over me.It was unlike him to just up and leave without informing me. Even from how faint the traces of his perfume that still lingered in the room were,

Chapter One Hundred and Two.

Damon’s POV:“I want the girl… you want the throne. We both want almost the same thing,” Alpha Michael Flynn’s voice rang in my head as I stepped out of my sleek black car, ignoring the whispered greeting of my bodyguard as he held the door wide open for me to step through. He was right though, I wanted the throne… Klaus’ throne. I wanted to be the new King Superior, but what I didn’t understand was why he needed my help in getting the lady when he could easily find his way to her considering that they were once mates. Aurora, or whatever she was called. I needed to meet her, to see what was so special about her.I smacked my lips when I walked towards the large house, the mansion I’d always wanted to live in ever since I was a kid. Now, it belonged to Klaus but soon it would be mine. Just as I was about to step into the house, I halted in my tracks when I saw Klaus walking up to me with a serious expression on his face. He looked like he was living his nightmare, and that made me f

Chapter One Hundred and Three.

Damon’s POV:I adjusted my pants for the hundredth time in the past few minutes, smirking when I noticed that Aurora’s eyes followed my action. She let out a sharp gasp, one that sounded as though she was out of breath, and turned to look away with her face contorted into a frown.I paid no heed to the fact that she was probably irritated by me, instead, I turned to Klaus, whose anger was skyrocketing with each passing second, and gritted out through painful lips;“Back to what we were talking about…”Klaus frowned deeper, “Yes, about that. My response is no. I do not wish to work with you, especially under the absurd conditions you came up with.”“It’s not that deep…” I mused. “You’d still be on top, just beneath me.”As soon as the words escaped my lips, I heard a scoff leave someone’s mouth. I turned with a frown, thinking it was Klaus but when I realized that it was my beauty, the glowing belle who literally hid herself behind Klaus, I let out a breath.“Think about it, King Super

Aurora’s POV:“Babe, what was that?” I asked as soon as Klaus and I stepped into the house. I was sounding almost out of breath and I was sure to blame it on how uncomfortable the whole scenario with Damon had been earlier. It didn’t even help that Klaus’ face was chalky white and was stormy, somewhat giving me insight about how the sudden ‘meetup’ had been.He sighed; “nothing important.”Something about the way he sounded made me shiver but I wasn’t sure what it was. Wordlessly, I led him up the stairs, holding his hands as I led the way to my room. Klaus didn’t say a word as we went though, instead, he followed behind quietly, feeling almost like a brick wall behind me.We arrived at my room some minutes later, and after shutting the door behind us, I led him again to the bed, smiling when I noticed that the children were awake. They played with each other and had small fluffy dolls in their hands, one which I suspected was given to them by one of the maids who had come to clean u

Chapter One Hundred and Five.

Klaus’ POV: FLASHBACK: It was one of those nights when Father would come home late from ‘Pack meetings’. He’d been gone for so long, nearly a month, that Mother and I had gotten used to his absence… to the lack of yelling and his heavy footsteps all around the house. That night, Mother with her big and roundish-looking stomach, was busy preparing porridge while she danced and hummed to a song I sang for her. It was lovely… we were at peace. However, our safe space quickly came to an abrupt end when we heard the front door closing. Then followed by heavy footsteps, the one we both dreaded. “Hey,” She whispered to me. Her eyes which were once full of hope had now been replaced by something akin to fear. Something that made my skin crawl with abhorration. She pointed to the dining table. “Your father is here. Pretend to read, I’ll serve your dinner when I am done here.” I quickly nodded and I did as told. I hopped into the chair not so far from where she stood, cooking, and

Chapter One Hundred and Six.

Aurora’s POV:I sat there in shock, while my body shook as I took in the gory details of Klaus’ childhood. He was so far gone… obviously, because now, his eyes were pressed tightly shut and his voice trembled while he recalled that night. When he mentioned stabbing his already dead father more times in the back, I gasped, causing him to quickly peel his eyes open.“I am not a good man…” he mumbled softly. “…I’ve done bad things… a lot of them. One of the many reasons the council of elders loved me was because I murdered my father in cold blood. They say I am ruthless, and it’s because of that night.” He continued to say with tears in his eyes.I was speechless but most of all, I was worried about him. My heart ached, yearning to reach out to him and without hesitation, I crawled over to where he was sitting to glide my hands over his yummy-looking skin. As soon as my hands touched his skin, he jumped in fright and held my hands, but when he noticed that it was only me, he stopped and

Chapter One Hundred and Seven.

Damon’s POV:I pushed myself out of bed and gritted my teeth when I noticed that the girl from the previous night was still in my bed, naked and sound asleep. It felt as though watching her sleep infuriated me even more and with a snarl, I shook her awake.“What did I say about leaving before I wake?” I snapped, not even giving her a moment to catch her breath. She stared at me for a few more seconds, wiped her eyes, and after it began to seem like she was finally getting ahold of where she was and whom she was with, she jumped out of bed, blissfully ignoring the fact that she was stark naked.“I’m sorry…” She rushed out, afraid. “I’m sorry, Alpha Damon, I totally forgot.”Something about her half-assed apology didn’t seem well to me. If anything, it seemed as though she was faking it with how many times she batted her faux lashes at me and shook her imperfect-looking boobs, as if daring me. Wanting to catch my attention.I snorted. “Go!”Her eyes scanned my face for a minute, but I d

Chapter One Hundred and Eight.

Michael’s POV:Anger. That was all I could feel as I stepped out of the suffocating throne room, sighing when rays of sun hit my face. Greedily, I gulped in the fresh air.It was obvious that Alpha Damon had more than a few things up his sleeve. Heck, I could feel the hesitation radiating off of him, showing just how much he didn’t want to continue with my plans. However, what I didn’t understand was why he was hesitant to kill Klaus- our common enemy, even though he wanted the man’s throne more than life itself.I frowned. My finger twitched just then and in irritation, I looked down at it, pissed that it decided to remind me just how much of a failure I was. The last time I got into a physical altercation with Klaus, he had dealt with me so badly that I almost lost my left pinky finger, along with several other injuries I had obtained. The jagged skin looked back at me as I stared at it, and annoyingly, it twitched again.“Alpha,” it was my driver’s voice that snapped me out of my

Chapter One Hundred and Nine.

Aurora’s POV:The sun overhead scorched my skin but I didn’t flinch, couldn’t flinch, not when I was undergoing one of the greatest tortures I’d experienced in my life right now. I wrapped my arms around myself as I stared straight ahead from behind my sunglasses, at the large portrait of Savannah which was decorated with a beautiful garland. Klaus was also standing beside me, looking so stiff and with an unreadable expression on his face. I stole one last glance at him before looking forward, back to Savannah’s photograph and the priest who was busy saying some recitations. It was Savannah’s funeral and because she belonged to one of the high-class families in Klaus’ pack, it was important that Klaus, being the Alpha, and I, his Luna, should attend.Something felt weird about this place though. It seemed as if I didn’t fit in… like I wasn’t supposed to be here. I couldn’t pinpoint if it was because I had indirectly aided her death or if it was the snide comments I heard from people
