Chapter One Hundred and Four.

Aurora’s POV:

“Babe, what was that?” I asked as soon as Klaus and I stepped into the house.

I was sounding almost out of breath and I was sure to blame it on how uncomfortable the whole scenario with Damon had been earlier. It didn’t even help that Klaus’ face was chalky white and was stormy, somewhat giving me insight about how the sudden ‘meetup’ had been.

He sighed; “nothing important.”

Something about the way he sounded made me shiver but I wasn’t sure what it was. Wordlessly, I led him up the stairs, holding his hands as I led the way to my room. Klaus didn’t say a word as we went though, instead, he followed behind quietly, feeling almost like a brick wall behind me.

We arrived at my room some minutes later, and after shutting the door behind us, I led him again to the bed, smiling when I noticed that the children were awake.
