Chapter One Hundred and Nine.

Aurora’s POV:

The sun overhead scorched my skin but I didn’t flinch, couldn’t flinch, not when I was undergoing one of the greatest tortures I’d experienced in my life right now.

I wrapped my arms around myself as I stared straight ahead from behind my sunglasses, at the large portrait of Savannah which was decorated with a beautiful garland. Klaus was also standing beside me, looking so stiff and with an unreadable expression on his face. I stole one last glance at him before looking forward, back to Savannah’s photograph and the priest who was busy saying some recitations.

It was Savannah’s funeral and because she belonged to one of the high-class families in Klaus’ pack, it was important that Klaus, being the Alpha, and I, his Luna, should attend.

Something felt weird about this place though. It seemed as if I didn’t fit in… like I wasn’t supposed to be here. I couldn’t pinpoint if it was because I had indirectly aided her death or if it was the snide comments I heard from people
