CHAPTER 20

Milton’s teeth gritted as he heard Connor’s words. “What the hell are you talking about? She is my wife!”

“Ex-wife,” Connor corrected. “You two are divorced, and don’t you feel bad calling your ex-wife 'wife' in front of your girlfriend?”

My eyes darted to Olivia, who was glaring at me. Just as Connor had said, she was probably pissed that Milton had called me his wife. I have to admit, I was pissed too.

How dare he call me his wife after completely ditching me and choosing someone else? We are divorced, and he has no right to call me that.

“What does it have to do with you?” Milton demanded. “How dare she say all of those things about me?”

Charlotte held onto Connor’s shirt and tugged it. He looked down at her, and she arched her brows. “Don’t let him get close to me. I don’t want his filthy hands on me.”

Milton glared at her. “Charlotte!”

Connor nodded and glanced at Milton. “You heard her. You two aren’t an item anymore. So, we’ll make our order and take our seats.”
